In this AU, there is no such thing as supers... they are normal humans with normal lives. Kara and Barry are really great friends. Not best friends, but really good ones because, plot twist: they're neighbors!. Anyway, a little context for you: Kara caught her boyfriend of five years cheating on her with one of her best friends. We could say it was James and Lena. Or we can pretend Kara was friends with Imra and "Mike" cheated on her with Imra... whatever floats your boat.

"Your turn," Alex looked at Winn.

His eyes widened, "What?! But I just went half an hour ago and she threw a pillow at my head!"

For the past two days, Alex and Winn has been trying to get Kara out of bed. It was her first really serious relationship... really serious as in five years serious. Her ex cheated on Kara with her best friend. Kara, being the complete adult she is, locked herself in her room to avoid everything that breathes. Other than her small mini Aussie Shepherd, Bo. The only constant thing in her life.

"Yeah, well, you're going again," Alex pushed him into the room shutting the door behind him. She heard slight murmuring outside the door. It sounded about as clear as adults in the Peanuts cartoons.

That was suddenly changed when a girly scream came from behind the door and Winn darted out. The scream was still exiting his mouth as he left the room. "Winn, it's. A. Pillow..." Alex scorned.

"She throws really hard," he whined, trying to justify his childish behavior.

A knock came from the door, "Kara? Is everything okay?"

Alex rushed to the door and opened it, "Hey, Barry, your turn!" She shoved him toward Kara's room despite his oppositions.

In the room, Kara has her head face down on her last remaining pillow. The rest of them were on the floor next to the door. "Winn, I swear to god, I will sacrifice my last pillow to decapitate you."

"M'not Winn," Barry mumbled. "I'm guessing the pillow weaponry was the source of the screaming?"

"Yes, unknown human that I'm too lazy to look up to see," Kara slid her arm under her pillow, getting ready to attack.

Barry chuckled a bit, "It's Barry, I just came to see what was wrong because I heard a little girl screaming. Is-is everything okay?"

She finally turned over a bit, lifting her comforter over her shoulders, "Does everything look okay?"

"Well, no, but I just wanted to ask before assuming things," He stepped a little to the side to sit in a chair Kara had in her room. Bo, who was very fond of Barry got up from his place in Kara's arms and went to Barry's lap. Which earned him many pets and a small, "Hi, buddy."

Kara turned over from her side, to her back, "My stupid boyfriend cheated on me." Her confession was surprising to Barry, as every time he saw them in the hallway they looked so in love.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Kara," he said, standing up out of the chair with Bo in his arms. He looked at the small, blue-eyed dog and mumbled to him, "Your owner needs you right now."

Barry set Bo in Kara's lap and was going to sit back down in the chair. That is, until, Kara grabbed his wrist and asked him to sit with her. He was too shy to admit it, but he was afraid to anger her, so he sat on the edge of her bed and waited for her to talk again.
