I'm biracial so bye Felicia. What? Didn't think I would start this off with a song reference. Well you don't know who I am so you wouldn't know I do that a lot. Spoiler alert I'm a biracial girl. Mexican and white. Mom is from California- learn your history we're Mexican, been here for generations. Dad is whiter than white- honestly I don't think he could get more white. Because of this, I came out of the womb white- well pink, but than I became white. My friends are pretty mixed. Indian, white, Asian, Latino- not black tho. I'm not racist but literally there are 2 black people in my grade. They're also pretty big assholes- my friends not black people. Censor that if you wish- I don't care, theyre just your average rude boys and that's the word that describes them best. Two of them are mexican- or so I thought. More on that later. Well whenever we hung end the Mexicans would say stuff like "You sure you're Mexican?" Ummm no I'm not sure let me go verify with my Hispanic birthgiver and get back to you- like what?!?! Then stuff evolved into them calling me a fake Mexican or a white girl. Little teases such that of. They're my friends, but they're also assholes- what should I expect? Eventually, last weekend, I did tell one of them. I was told he's biracial too and it pissed me off he would invalidate me even tho he comes for a similar racial background. I just texted him telling him about how I felt and he apologized and was sweet and less of an asshole for a moment. At school today, however, people at my table were calling out "Hey! Real Mexican, come over here." I felt taunted. Like they were shaming me for complaining about them not making me feel legitimate about my own race. I read the situation as negative- and if you were there you would have too. I just walked away, but now I don't know what to do. They're my friends, flaws and assholeness and all. I'm not happy when called a fake Mexican, but still not well called a real Mexican? Wtf self. Wtf.

Btw, maybe they are just teasing you but if it really makes you feel bad, say it loud and clear to them. Eventually, they will understand. Afterall, they are your friends ☺
