My Lips are Red; my Freckles are Brown; my Veins are Blue; my Eyes are Green; my Hair is Black, and my Knuckles are White from being clenched for far too long. My New Bruises are Purple; my Old Bruises are Yellow; my Scars are Pink, and that little Triangle around my neck is Orange because tanning and those god awful shirts they force us to wear at school aren't exactly friends.
"There is SO MUCH MORE to someone than being black, white, brown or blue (can't forget the Smurfs). These colors do not represent my appearance - they represent my personality.
"My Lips are Red because they show my Strength. My Freckles are Brown because at the end of the day, if you asked me I would be there. My Veins are Blue because when I trust someone I am willing to sacrifice my life for them, and I have faith that they would do the same for me. The Black, the White, the Green, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Pink - all of them are a part of me. All of them are a part of you.
