Chapter 1-The Beginning

Narrator POV

Twas the day of sun and stars that Moon became 16. Her trusty,handsome servant,Toffee. He stood behind her on her right,but to her left,a girl. Her (e/c) shined with life and love,her (h/l) (h/c) was pulled back into a small ponytail. She was smiling at her best friend and Mistress's birthday corrillation. Toffee smiled slightly at the party of Moon's birthday. Many were eating,drinking,playing in some of the festival games inspired by Moon herself. Toffee gazed at the maid and slightly blushed as she smiled at him. He only smiled back and slightly frowned when Moon took her away with her to change for the evening ball. Toffee only thought to himself.

'Why must it be you that I fell for...... (Y/n)'

Evening Ball

As the Jouster announced Moon's return, (Y/n) stood next to Toffee and greeted Moon as she waked by. (Y/n) slowly look up at Toffee and smiled.

"Lovely isn't it?" She said to Toffee and looked around.

"Yes,very..." He replied,his blush slightly noticed from his grey skin.

"The waltz with Princess Moon and Her fiance shall commensurate! Anyone can join in the waltz" the announcer said in excitment.

"(Y/n)...." Toffee offered his hand to (Y/n) and smiled. "Will you give me this dance?" She simply nodded and took his hand gently. They walked down the stairs and headed to the huge waltz circle surrounding the princess and her fiance. Toffee couldn't help but stare at (Y/n),her smile brighten his heart,her eyes stared back and blushed as dark as him.

"Toffee... Are you enjoying the party?" (Y/n) asked as they danced.

"Of course.." He responded.

She smiled as the waltz ended and she curtsied as Toffee bowed to her. They both walked to the drink table and grabbed a gauntlet of wine.

"I wish this night could last for a life time..." (Y/n) simply said and smiled up at Toffee. Moon ran up to (Y/n) and asked her to help her with her hair again. She walked away from Toffee after looking back at him and smiling as he watched them leave.

'I wish this party would last a life time too.....(Y/n).....' He looked down at the his gauntlet of wine and drank. He make his way up the castle stairs and looked down at the party. The evening breeze slowly blew against his pulled back hair. (Y/n) came back and found him quickly.

"Hello again Toffee" She smiled.

"Hello again (Y/n)" He said,voice smooth yet slightly tired.

"Tired yet? I know I am..." She sighed and looked down at the huge party.

"Yes,slightly.."

Landing on Toffee's shoulder was a white butterfly. (Y/n) reached for the butterfly,it crawled onto her palm. She released it just as the wind blew through her hair,making her a gorgeous sight for Toffee to see. He held her hand and pulled her close to himself.

"Shall we dance again,My Butterfly" He asked smiling down at her.

She blushed at her new nickname but smile warmly.

"Yes,of course...."

This was the start of a love between a monster and a girl. Two opposites of one but, with bonding souls....
