Charlie's POV"When will he get out of surgery?" I asked, trying to calm down.
"Approximately an hour." She told me.
"Can I please see him when he comes out?!" I asked hopefully.
"Well since you are doing fine you should be able to check out tonight, so yes you can go see him." She told me with a smile.
"THANK YOU!" I said as I hugged her. I sat on my bed and thought about Zac. I can't lose him. I can't.
The nurse left the room, and so I just sat there for the rest of the hour waiting, crying, and thinking about him.
---
After the hour passed I got up and went to find the nurse. She sat behind the counter, I walked up to her and asked, "where is he?""Room 203. You'll have to wait outside until they bring him in." She told me, I thanked her and sat on the floor outside of the room he would be staying in. I saw a doctor rolling his bed down the hallway, he pushed open the door and brought him in.
"Zachary will be fine. He was in surgery for the wound on his back where he had been stabbed." I cringed at the thought of her stabbing him but was relieved to hear he'd be okay. "He'll have to stay a while though, we don't know how long he will be unconscious for."
I nodded, "it's alright, as long as he will be okay in the end." I told the doctor. The doctor left to tend to other patients while I sat in an uncomfortable plastic chair next to Zac's bed. I caressed his right hand in both of mine and admired his perfect features.
He's so peaceful looking, so beautiful. And that's how we stayed for six days straight.
Him laying peacefully not moving an inch except for his chest going up and down with every breath he took. And me sitting next to him, holding his hand and waiting for him to come back to me.
