When the day had finished and they arrived back at the dorms, Yoongi couldn't help but feel strange. Now that he had finished the song, the studio wasn't beckoning his name anymore, and it just felt...weird. It seemed that everyone else had already finished their own songs. Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook took possession of the couch and TV hooking up Overwatch. As Jimin had his usual crisis over which of the two to root for. Namjoon was in his room reading, Jin was cooking up something they would probably eat later in the week. And Hoseok...the older was surprised not to find the youngers presence anywhere in the house.
Not like it was any of his business but also not like he had anything better to do, he found himself leaning on the side of the couch, "Hey kids, where's Hoseok? I-uh I gotta ask him something." Wait...why did I just say that? I did feel like I needed to talk to him...but about what?!
Out of the three sets of eyes glued to the screen, Jimin was the one that spoke up, "Hyung, he's probably at the dance studio, he's been doing that for like the past month. None of us have seen much of either of you lately." The boy let a small chuckle escape his lips as he shyly continued, "We've been making jokes that you two finally got the hots for each other and have been secretly going on dates..." he trailed off causing the other two to giggle at their silliness.
"Finally?" Yoongi questioned, but quickly regretted it as it just caused the boys to laugh more.
Jungkook spoke up this time, eyes concentrated on the screen and giggles dancing in his voice, "But he should be back around 11 or maybe midnight, I'm not really sure. What did you need to ask?"
The rapper gulped, "Aish-So nosy, just play your game and get to bed we gotta full schedule tomorrow too."
"Roger!" Taehyung yelled mimicking the character in their game, causing the three to erupt in laugher and earning a chuckle from the older.
Yoongi went back to his room, he had the sudden urge to head to the dance studio too, if anything to repay Hoseok for all the help he gave him before. But something stopped him, was he nervous? Afraid? Embarrassed? Maybe a combination of it all. This was his fellow band member though, his brother, his best friend he's never felt anything but comfortable and at home in the boy's presence so why was he feeling like this now?
He shook off the feelings, deciding to blame them on the events from the night before, and wait till the younger got home. To do what? He wasn't sure, but he just felt he needed to have a casual conversation with him or to see him or just something to get rid of these useless feelings he held and return to normal.
Sitting in his bed, he reached for his laptop, putting these strange things into use through lyrics while he waited didn't seem like a bad idea.
With about five pages littered with lyrics and thoughts that didn't really help him understand anything, he decided to stop. Checking the time, he realized it was much later then he thought, 1 am was a bit past when the younger was supposed to come back. With the release of a heavy sigh the boy wiggled out of his bed, heading to the kitchen for some strawberry milk. Namjoons muffled snores and the soft hum of the summer night filled the sleeping dorm. Yoongi sat at their table, drinking his beverage and scrolling through twitter when the door opened.
A Hoseok shaped silhouette walked through the door, the older almost chocked on his drink in surprise.
"Huh? Who- Yoongi? What are you doing up?"
After a few coughs the older answered, moving to flip the lights on, "Ah-couldn't really sleep?" Yoongi lied. When he had walked to the switch the younger quickly exclaimed, "Wait don't turn on the lights-"
But the room was already illuminated and Hoseoks previous silhouette was replaced with a tired boy covered in sweat, a bloody knee, and tear stained cheeks.
