Gossip's Brunch

Idalys's P.O.V

"Your still coming around 8 tonight right?" I ask Jade who is currently on the other line while I drive down my street. "Yah, totally!" "Okay, great. See you then. Bye" I say. "Bye" she responds. I park the car in my driveway as I grab the bags from the passenger seat and taking out the key. After I get inside my house my mom calls for me."Hey Idalys. Where did you go?" She asks. "Oh, I just got some food because Jade is spending the night. Is that alright?" I say. She nods smiling.

I put the food in the fridge. Drinks, check. Chips, check. Ice Cream, check. And goodies, check. I walk into the living room where my mom was sitting and sit with her. "So how's work been?" I ask. "Good and stressful. Listen, I'm sorry I'm not home alot. But I'm still here for you. You know that right?" She replies. "Yes of course. Mommy, I know it's work and it's to keep me here, at home. I love you" I say as I kiss her on the cheek. She smiles. As the door bell rings. "That must be Jade" I say getting up. I walk to the door and open it. "WHO'S READY FOR THE BEST SLEEP OVER YET?!" She annouces. I laugh and open the door more for her to come in. She carried 2 bags of clothes. A little bag I'm guessing of make up. And her blankets and pillows and other crap too. But good crap I'm guessing. I lead her up the stairs as my mom yells "Have fun!" I open my door and reveal a home made club house. But it was amazing.

"Dear Bonnie-"

Jade and I were currently watching TVD and bawling our eyes out. After the episode she pauses the computer. "Okay, we finished the ice cream and candies. Now for gossip. Is there any man or exciting in ur love interest happening? " Jade asks with a smirk. "Um remember that Orchestra I tried out for? Well I made it in." I said calmly. "WHAT OMG! IDALYS THAT'S AMAZING " she screams. " Thank you" I laugh out. "And guess what? Mr.Mendes is one of my instructors" I say chuckling. "Ooo Idalys. You can see him often. Even after school" she winks. I laugh and shake my head. " He said to call him Shawn, well out of school when he's giving me lessons on the music which I still haven't gotten" I said. "Shawn Mendes, that's hot. Like really hot" Jade says fanning herself like she's heating up. Just then my mom walks in the room. "Goodnight girls" she says. "Goodnight " we both say in unison.

I wake up to hear my phone ringing.

Adrian😋

ME: Hello?
Adrian: GoodMorning! Are you excited for today?
Me: what do you mean?
Adrian: Idalys Rojas! Do not tell me you forgot this very special day?
Me: um I did not forget this very special day?
Adrian: JESUS!! Today is the day. The day that Canelo and Chavez fight!
Me: OMG I forgot. TODAY IS THE DAY!

"Shh" jade says turning over.

Adrian: uhh yah. Now get ready I'm going out for breakfast and I would love it if u joined me.
Me: okay bye

~End of call~

"Jade, I'm going out for breakfast. Tell my mom" I say. "Okay bye" she says turning over and falling asleep.

"Hey" I say jumping into Adrian's car."hey" he replies, reversing out of the driveway."so where are we going?" I ask. "Monet's, of course" he says. i smile.
We finally arrive and exit out of the car. We walk up to the register and I order pancakes, sausage, eggs and coffee. Adrian orders the same and we wait for our food. " $23.56 is your total" the cashier says. I pull out my card and just as I was about to give it to her Adrian stops me and gives her cash. "No that's a big no. I will always pay" Adrian says staring into my eyes. I blush and look Away putting my card back in my wallet. "Order for Adrian" the lady calls. he comes back with the food and it looks delicious. "OMG, I'm starved." I say.

After eating we sat in the booth a little longer and talked. "So the bet" Adrian says leaning forward onto the table. "The bet" I say and copy his movements. "What is your favorite candy?" He asks." Mike & Ike's" I reply. " mhm, I would've guessed Swedish fish" Adrian says. I giggle and look out the window. It was so sunny and barely 11:22 am. " I'm going to the lady's room, excuse me. " I say. He nods and pulls out his phone. I walk towards the restroom and look back at Adrian causing me to bump into someone. I turn around, " Omg I'm so sorry- Mr.Mendes?" I ask. Looking at the tall beautiful figure. "Idalys please Its Shawn outside of school. How are you?" He asks. "Good thank you. And you Mr.Me-Shawn?" I reply. "Great. Oh and remember to come by at 6 pm sharp tomorrow. " he says. I look at him confused. "For the session" he continues. "Oh, right. I totally forgot" I laugh. He chuckles as the lady calls his name. "Well I better get going. I gotta take this to my gal" he says. And once again my heart shatters. "Okay, have a nice day Mr.Mendes" i say. "good day Ms.Rojas" he replies. I walk back to Adrian. "Ready to go?" I ask. He nods and we exit the cafe.

"Thanks again for breakfast" I say getting out of Adrian's car. "No problem. see you at school tomorrow" he says. I close the door and walk to my porch. I turn around to see him pulling out of my driveway. I sigh as I enter my house. 'My gal' rings through my head. 'His girl'.
