Chapter 8

Cameron's P.O.V.

"What happened to me?" Alex asked Aaron.

"Well when I saw you walking, I was walking towards you from the other direction. So I kinda thought you were going to stop but you didn't and we kinda collided into each other." Aaron says this while moving his hands together symbolizing them crashing. "I didn't think you wanted me to touch you so I kept my my hands to myself. I didn't expect you to pass out and fall, but you did and ended up hitting your head on the concrete. So I brought you to the hospital because your head was bleeding really bad."

Alex lifted her arm and touched her head and felt the stitches. "Thank you Aaron." She said quietly.

"Why are you thanking me?!?! I'm the reason this whole thing happened! If I had caught you, then we wouldn't be here right now!" Aaron yelled at my mate. She flinched at his harsh words and looked back down at her arms.

'You need to calm the hell down Aaron. You are scaring my mate,' I mind linked Aaron while giving him an angry stare. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you," Aaron said while looking down probably feeling guilty.

"It's fine," she said shaking her head side to side. "Do you have my phone?" She asked looking in her pockets for her phone.

"Yeah," Aaron said as he pointed to her phone that was on a table next to the hospital bed.

I watch Alex very carefully as she picked up her phone with shaky hands. She proceeded to open up her phone and do something, but I couldn't tell what.

"Can you take me home? My family is probably worried about where I am right now."

"Sure," I said before Aaron could agree to taking her home alone. Alex stared at me, as if she was unsure she could trust me and I didn't blame her. I wouldn't trust some guy I just met in my hospital room either, especially knowing they were the cause of me being here in the first place.

"Excuse us for a minute," I said to Alex as I grabbed Aaron's hand and pulled him out of the room.

"What's the plan, Cam?" Aaron asked me.

I let out a long breath as I ran my fingers through my hair while thinking.
The only problem with getting Alex home is that some of my pack members already know that she's my mate because of the fact that her coming here has become the newest hospital gossip. One thing about my pack that I have realized over time is that the pack members can really spread gossip.

I start to feel sick at the realization of Alex isn't safe anymore because she's my mate. If somehow this information of her being my mate spreads to other packs she could potentially be in danger. Being an alpha means being invincible, it means not having any weaknesses. But Alex, she's my mate. She's my weakness, she's my world now.

My sick feeling turns Into anger at myself for dragging Alex into something she probably doesn't want to deal with. How do I even know if she will accept me as her mate? Will she even want to be my mate, not to mention Luna of one of the strongest pack?

"Hey! Earth to Cameron! What's your plan?" Aaron yells at me waving his hand in front of me.

"Oh," I say startled,"notify the pack guards that we are coming." I say in my demanding Alpha voice,"they need to act normal but also keep away the pack members." Aaron nodded his head signaling that he had done what was asked. "I want to keep this as normal looking as possible. I don't really want to get any attention-"

I stopped talking when Alex came out of the room, not wanting her to hear. She looked up at me with her bright green eyes and gave me a small smile causing me to grab onto the railing on the wall to support myself up. It's crazy how much this girl effects me and she doesn't even need to try.

I slightly touched the top of her back leading her towards the exit, tingles shooting up my arm in pleasure at our contact. She slowly walked with me looking everywhere except me, no doubt she felt the tingles too. I led her into the parking lot and helped her get into the car, even though she didn't want any help.

"Where's your house?" I asked.

She ignored my question and asked,"is Aaron coming too?"

Tate got irritated at her question due to his jealousy problems as I call them. Chill dude, she probably doesn't fully trust us because to her we're complete and total strangers, I tell Tate at an attempt to calm him down. My comment caused him to go silent and I let out a deep breath of relief.

"If you want Aaron to come." I said to Alex. She only nodded in response to my question. I mind linked Aaron asking him to come with us and he agreed.

"So Alex, tell me a little about you." Aaron says to Alex.

She scrunched up her forehead in a cute way thinking about how to answer him. She finally says,"I love animals," while giving him a small smile. "What about you?" She says directing her question to Aaron.

Most of the car ride was spent with Aaron and Alex talking about random topics until Alex falls asleep in the backseat. She leans her head on the car door with her straight dark brown hair covering her facial features. I constantly look into the car mirror just to get a peek at my mate and can't stop grinning when I do.

When we finally arrive at her house Alex is still asleep in the back. Instead of waking her up, I carry her to the front door where a woman lets me in. "Oh my goodness! What happened?!" She asks me.

"Please lower your voice, she is trying to sleep." I say in a sort of demanding voice.

The woman looks taken back for a second before she says,"oh yes I'm very sorry about that. Do you think you could put her up in her room?"

"Yes ma'am." I say being polite. She shows me to a room at the end of a hallway and I put Alex down on the bed. Alex's room is a calm purple color and has pictures of her and, I'm assuming, are family and friends in frames on the wall. She has a huge TV on the wall, a huge walk in closet, and a bookshelf filled with books. She has a desk filled with sketches and some teen celebrity gossip magazines off to the side. Overall in kind of impressed at how clean her room is, I mean not to be stereotypical, but most teen girls has a messy room with clothes thrown all over the floor so I wasn't expecting this.

I explain to the woman what had happened to Alex and she was very calm about it which also surprised me. Then I started my drive back home with that same grin on my face and Aaron staring at me as if I was crazy. But I am crazy, crazy in love.
