Reba stood there shocked she tried to process who was standing at her door , she had never thought this would ever happen in a million years , she never thought she'd be staring an old crush in the face a man she once lusted for but lost the chance to love. " Reba are you okay " Reba snapped out of her mind " yes I'm fine I just didn't , expect my date to be you" her date laughed with a smile " you always knew how to make a man feel wanted , shall we go to Cantrell's" her date extended his arm and walked her to his SUV and opened the door for Reba and helped her in.
All the way to Cantrell's there was nothing but silence , her date tried to talk to her but she wouldn't respond Reba was lost in her thoughts again. How can he be here , how can I be on a date with him he is married , did he get divorced , should I call the date off , Reba you can do this you deserve to be on a date , you loved him your whole marriage.
Reba talked herself into agreeing with the date , she kept feeling like she shouldn't go through with it but soon she started to enjoy herself when they got to Cantrell's , once her date got out of the car she went to check her phone her date walked over to Reba's side of the SUV and opened her door. " You don't need to open my door for me , but thank you for the gesture " Reba's date took her hand and kissed the top of her hand " it's my pleasure for such a beautiful woman".
Her date held the door opened for her they walked to an empty booth well waiting for a menu Reba and her date sat in silence, her date pulled out his phone and turned it off. " Reba if you don't wanna be on a date with me say so , it's alright " her date had his hands across the table " I want to but " " but what Reba".
" Ronnie you're my closest friend , it's not exactly easy for me to tell my sister I was on a date with Ronnie Dunn".
