Chapter 4 - Romeo and Juliet

Katherine's POV

"It has been 2 weeks already, di parin pumapasok si Migs.." malungkot na sabi ni Claire..

"Tsk nakalimutan ko pa hingin yung phone number niya" -Paolo

"Kelan kaya siya papasok ulit? Yayayain ko sana siya maglaro eh" -Jared

"Kahit kelan ka talaga Red puro laro ka talaga noh??" Patawa kong sabi

"Sus kaya nga naka-salamin na yan eh. Malabo na mata kaya pati si Shaina nagustuhan.." -Rafaella

"Guys, respeto nalang.. malay mo sobrang nahulog talaga si Red" -Claire

"Sa sobrang hulog nga lang nagpaka-baliw na kaya ayan, nasawi.."-Paolo

Habang naguusap sila napa-isip ako. Baka nakalagay sa sulat ang dahilan.. pagka-uwi ko sa bahay agad kong binuksan ang letter na creepy.. then I saw this....

The Sound of Music

•May program ang school niyo and it is a battle by section.. the theme is Romeo and Juliet. niyaya ka ng classmates mo to play the role as Juliet, I hope na huwag mo i-turn down ang offer nila.. please play the role of Juliet.. I really regret na I missed the chance..

•And that day I fell in love with Miguel.

~Next Day~

Nakatulog na ako agad last night.. I stretched my body before getting up from my bed. And i can say that I had a great sleep and FYI I love to sleep. I rushed to the bathroom to take a bath and after I fixed myself and then... my stomach grumbled then I remember na di ako nagdinner last nighy.. Great!! Gutom na gutom na ako. Masyado kasi akong na-excite tignan ang letter kagabi ehh. Then I forgot already to have dinner.

I rushed to the kitchen and I find something to eat, great news I found a pizza yey! After I ate it, I went straight to my mom and dad's room and nagpa-alam na ako to go ahead.. di ko na muna ginising ang mga kapatid ko since when I checked my watch it is only quarter to six. When I arrived at school si Claire at si Raffy lang ang sumalubong sakin.. wala pa siguro sina Paolo at Red. After a few minutes dumating na sila and I, inculding with Raffy and Claire we were surprised na nakita namin sila with Miguel.

"OMG! ano nangyari sayo Miguel!!" Tanong ni Claire habang hawak ang kanyang pisnge ng kanyang dalawang kamay

"Ah-eh nagkalagnat kasi ako" nalilitong sagot ni Miguel.

"Buti naman gumaling ka na" sabi namin ni Raffaella

Tulad ng sabi sa letter, we will have a program..and I am telling you, this program was announced and prepared only today kaya whole day eto lang ang ginawa namin.. and kung ano ang naka-sulat it's a music program themed Romeo and Juliet.. the class officers are incharge of telling us what to do.. they divided the class into groups. Some groups are tasked to create a script including the songs that will be sang and the others are preparing the costumes and the props to be used.. the CO also chose the leading characters.. and then some of my classmates suggested me to play the role of Juliet..

"Okay, so sino pwede sa role ni Juliet??" Tanong ng aming class officer or let's say ang president namin.

"Si Katherine!" one of the girls shouted

"Yah I tottaly agree magaling siya in singing" another girl said.

"Katherine ikaw na magplay ha?" -president

"Hala wag nalang d naman ako magaling kumanta eeh.." I protested

"Go na gurl.. do your best! Magaling ka naman talaga kumanta eh.. please? Do it for our section" sabi ng isang CO namin.

Should I?? Ang sabi sa letter is pag hindi ako sumali, matatako daw kami kaya naman tumango nalang ako at agad nila akong dinala sa dressing room para magbihis.. simpleng damit lang naman ang pinili nila para sa akin, isang long, white gown and sandals, inayos nila ang hair ko and ginawa nilang naka-bun then may crown kunwari.

Habang inaayusan ako napa-isip ako.. sino kaya si Romeo?? I mean sino ang magrorole as Romeo.. Dinala na kasi nila ako agad sa Dressing room d ko tuloy nalaman kung sino.. Dumiretso na kami sa classroom ulit para magrehearsals.. I was already practicing some of my lines and surprisingly kabisado ko na agad since onti lang naman ang sasabihin kasi.. PURO IN SINGING GOSH..

While I was singing in an empty room, humingi kasi ako ng favor na pumunta sa isang tahimik na room to sing kasi ang ingay sa room namin masyadong busy at excited mga tao, sa again ayun na nga practice si ako.. and yung song na kakantahin ko sa huli is my favorite song which is Thousand Years.. Duet kami ni Mr. Romeo dito sa song na toh.. anyways while practicing someone clapped when I finished the singing the song, when I looked at the door.. it was Miguel in his black suit attire, with his red matching necktie and even kahit magulo hair niya it look good on him.

"Ang galing mo naman pala kumanta" nakangiting sabi sakin ni Miguel

"Thank you" sagot ko "Kilala mo ba kung sino ang pinili nila as Romeo?? Kailangan ko na kasi magpractice with him eh" dag dag ko

"Hahaha kinakausap mo na siya ngayon.." sabi niya habang tumatawa pa

"Ahh ganun ba pasensya na haha d ko kasi alam ee"

"Natural kaya nga tinanong mo ko diba" he said sarcastic

Nagpractice na kaming kumanta and bilib ako ah.. ang galing niya kumanta.. may solo kasi siya and the song is Chivarly is Dead, omaygahd bagay sa voice niyaaa..
After naman ulit naming magpractice ng songs.. rehearse na talaga kami as in ung show na ang pinapractice namin. Then we were so exhausted.. lunch time na, 12pm Romeo, I mean, Migs asked me to go lunch with him then ayun nilibre niya ako, nagkwentuhan kami at napaka-kulit niya pala he made me laugh and smile a lot ..

Time traveled quickly, it is time for the show..and its our turn already. when we were performing the last part, we sang already the Thousand Years in duet..

How to be brave, how can I love when I'm afraid to fall? But watching you stand alone, all of my doubts certainly goes away somehow. One step closer~

When I looked at his eyes, while singing the chorus again parang mas na feel ko yung kanta, just like what the others said.. could it be?

And that time, it's like something shot my heart, it's like a cupid's arrow..Is it possible? Ang isang tulad ko? Ang isang Katherine Ramirez? I guess that what was written on the letter is true, I am in love with him, with Miguel Alexander Diaz. Maybe it's true na kahit saglit palang ang inyong pagsasama you may still fall in love with that person.
