The Runaway

"oh my god! jay your bleeding!" i gasped reaching for his head 

"oh" he said reaching it himself  "where have you been sky?" he asked confussed 

"you wouldnt get it" i said looking down ashamed off what i had done but i dont even know

"Try me"  he said with a friendly smile 

"what are you doing here ?" i asked aviding the question 

"um well.." his chocolate brown eyes darted about which made me curious 

"Jay?" i asked 

"i- i um came to find you" he said looking down "Its was so long and i went to meet you each day befor school but you were never there so i went and knocked on your house and your mum said you had gone missing but you dad wouldnt go to the police so i came to look for you" he explained his his eyes looking straight into mine and the blood dripping down his head 

"but why?" i asked 

"because i had too" he mumbled 

"what?" 

Never mind, why are you out here you are miles away from home, where have you been sleeping? you look shattered" he said worried 

"i dont need your help okay" an erge on anger rushed over me for some reason and i turened away 

"Never said you did skylay" he said 

"you should go... go home and get your head looked at" i said a rush of guilt over flowed my body, the air was cold and i only had a jacket and jeans on and parts of my body were sour from jay saving me 

"i'm not going with out you, i save your life and thats all i get?" he said coming round my front 

"I'm sorry, thank you i appreciate it, really i do, just this is something i have to do, alone" i said jolting away 

"do what?" he asked 

"you wouldnt understand" i i shied and sat on the edge of the road with mmy legs crossed and my arms around my body i hadnt noticed how hungry i was, i hadnt eaten all day

Jay came and plonked himself next to me

"you hungry?" he asked 

He must have seen my face light up as he laughed and took the backpack off of his bag which i never realised was ther and he pulled out some popcorn and a bottle of water, 

"sorry its not much" he said passing it over 

"its grate thanks!" i saaid hugging him 

It was getting late no clue what time exactly but it was cold and we didnt move just lay there and look at the sky and talk. 

"hows lucy?" i asked suddenly remebering my best friend how could i have forgotten her i am such a bad friend! 

"She is fine, i just told her that you were ill and your phone was broken so that she didnt worry" he said his blake hair perfect as usual, the cut had stoped bleeding and wasnt toobad now it has like heeled like really quick wiered?

"thanks" i said 

The sky was a deep blue now and stars were shimmering in the sky and looked amazing, how i would love to just be able to float up and join them 

all of a sudden jay asked me "Now tell me why you are out here and how you have servived!" he demmanded 

"on one condition" i started "you tell me after how the hell you found me you even said yourself i am miles away from home" 

"fine"

I took a deep breath and began-" Well, its been going on for a while, my family... is not right my dad he well he isnt a good dad and well he hits us" i flinched at the thought "Me and y mum, and he is an alcoholic, so i have to do everything around the house because my mum is to depressed or my dad is forcing me, the the day i left i had asked him why it is like how it it and well, turns out its my falt, and i have always blamed myself that i was a problem i didnt think i was bad but just living was enought to ruin there lives" i took a deep breath " me and my mum were close so i left a note say that maybe dad will leave her alone and not hurt her now that i am gone and that i loved her but i have no idea if she has got that note but i hope she has"  i stoped a muienet when jay put his hand in mine a queezed it to reasure me 

"oh" was all he could say 

"so i went, and thaats when i met justin" i started again

"shit" jay muttered 

"what?" i asked 

"doesnt matter carry on" he said

"okay, and he followed me a while then well he took me to his house thats why i am so far away and have no idea where i am and we like kissed" i blushed i felt my cheeks were like on fire " and i passed oyt and hade dreams and then he said, yes he defonatly told me thathe is a vampire" 

"I am going to kill him" he said under his breath "sky i am so sorry i hadnt found out about your family sooner" he said sympatheticlly 

"nothing you could do, now your turn" 

so he reluclantly started to tell me " well when i noticed that you hadnt been at school as well as not meeting me i got worried and went to your house and thats when i knew something had happened i could feel it so i wen out looking for you and i swore i wouldnt stop till i found you" he finished

"i dont get it, why are you so bothered about me?" i asked 

"oh sky" he shied "what exactly did justin tell you about him selfe and vampiers?" 

"well tha he found me when i was like 9 or something found me and brought me back because im 'special' and that there are others after me that are 'bad' because of my blood" i explained 

"okay then you know" he said more to himself

"jay what are you on about i just thought he hd lost it thats why i ran" i am lost 

"Well he is mad in a sense but what he said was right but hes not a good guy sky you did the right thing" he said now looking at me

"Jay?"
