Ode To Being Alone

I think to myself, from day to day,

Alone I will grow.

Nobody seemed to put a smile on my face,

So my sadness remained unknown.

I begged my torment not to stay,

And it repeated that it will never go.

I am screaming that I hate this place,

But how can I not be fond of my own home?

"I am fine" I will say,

But my voice will remain monotone.

And like every other day,

I force a smile onto my face and I eat alone.
