Hiccup's POV:

"Snotlout, pleeease! Fly, jump, and call to Hookfang to catch you. It's a trust exercise. So trust him!" I shouted. Hookfang stubbornly clung to the rock face. I face palmed.

"You try riding him!" Snotlout yelled back over the wind. The sun was setting, and the sky was blood red. I knew what that meant. But before I could say anything, Astrid took off on Stormfly.

"We need to get back home, an over-sea storm is gonna start!" She called over her shoulder. I hooked my metal leg in the stirrup of Toothless's saddle and took off. Meatlug and Fishlegs were already ahead of us.

"I want to live until I'm at least eighteen!!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs. The twins propped up their feet on Barf and Belch.

"Are you kidding? This is awesome!" Ruffnut said excitedly. Tuffnut just nodded in agreement, looking slightly distracted. He actually looked serious. Tuffnut narrowed his eyes and sat himself up.

"Actually, Ruff, I think we should go... There's..."

"What?" I asked.

"Never mind," he said. I didn't have time to argue for his thoughts as I flew away. I stayed in the back to make sure everyone else was safe. Sudden gusts of wind hit Hookfang's and Toothless's large wings, throwing us off balance. Finally, we made it to the island. We split up at full speed to get to safety. In land, the storm lessened, but it was still strong. I fought to get the door open wide enough for Toothless, then I slammed the door after me. I slumped to the floor, my father (Stoic the Vast, chief of the tribe) ran to me. I panted, then felt everything go dark.
