I looked up at her in shock, my head spinning. I could feel blood running down from my nose all in my mouth.

"Ahh" I groaned.

"You think that's pain?! Huh?" She screamed, before lifting her foot and kicking me once again sending me into a black sleep.

When I woke up my head was spinning and my nose was numb. The blood had dried all around it, restricting my breathing. I gently touched it and cried out in pain. Grabbing the stair banister, I pulled myself up and looked at my nose in the mirror. I cried out! My mascara i applied this morning had ran down my face making me look like a panda. The blood from my nose had dripped down all over my mouth. My nose was a dark purple colour and was extremely puffy. I have never seen myself looking this bad. I stared at my reflection in the mirror and began to feel bitter, and angry. I had enough. I had to leave. There was a note on the door, from Mom. It read

"Gone 2 docs, be back at 5"

I looked over at the clock above the stairs. The time was 4:30 exactly, which meant i had just under 30 minutes to pack my bags, clean up and leave. I made my way upstairs and into the bathroom. I grabbed the nearest towel and threw it in the sink and ran the warm water. I left it a few minites before picking the wet towel out of the sink and gently began washing my face. It didn't take long for the water to turn a dark red colour. I stared in the bathroom mirror. My nose was still swollen but at least the blood and mascara was gone. It would have to do. I ran to my bedroom and grabbed my rucksack. I scrambled through my draws and wardrobe. In the time I had, I managed to get some clean underwear, socks, a few spare outfits along with the last £20.00 from my purse. I changed out of my uniform and flung it across the room. I took one last look at my room and ran downstairs.

Entering the kitchen I grabbed as much food as i could, shoving it into my bag. I flung open the cupboards and grabbed as many food items as I could. After pulling on my black hoodie I picked up my rucksack and threw it over my shoulder. I took one look at my reflection and sighed.

I opened the door and stood there for a moment. Thousands of thoughts began to run through my head, should I leave her? It's not her fault! Where will I go? But somehow i knew this was right. I needed to leave. I couldn't live like that.

Taking a deep breath I took a step out the door and slammed it behind me.

"I'm never going back" I whispered over and over again, and i meant it.
