I stood there for a moment. Just looking at him. And all the people around outside, looking at me. I looked down and saw the glass. Broken.

"Abby, are you okay?" Casey asked. I slowly revealed my face to her. I glanced at him right beside her. And I can see it in his eyes. He recognized me, too.

"Oh yeah. Sorry the glass just slipped from my hand," I finally answered her while trying to act normal around them both.

"It's fine. I'll just go get another glass of wine for you. Be right back. Okay babe?" she added as she kissed him on the cheek and walked back to the table with wine.

"You two! Get to know one another. Mingle. You know the drill," she yelled across from the kitchen. Thing is, we already knew each other.

"Um. Hi," I started. I was so shocked. So amazed. I wondered if it really was him.

"Hey," he responded. He smiled and I tried to smile back. But the memories started pouring in right through my eyes. I remembered everything.

"Oh yeah. Happy Birthday by the way," he continued.

"Oh thanks," I decided to smile back at him.

"Here we go," Casey interrupted as she handed me my second glass of wine.

"Try not to break this one. You're dad's running out of wine glasses ha," she joked. I laughed a little and smiled.

"So..have you guys introduced yourselves?" she asked as she put her hand around his waist and he put his arm around her shoulders and looked away, trying to avoid my eyes.

"Uh, yeah. Um we've actually.." I looked at him. He looked like he was trying to say something. Something like a, "Don't tell my fiancé about us," face.

"I mean. We actually met inside the living room while you got me a glass of wine," I lied.

"Oh okay," Casey looked confused. She wasn't the smartest girl back then. She certainly isn't smart now.

"Well, I'm gonna go "mingle" with other people here," I decided. It was just too awkward.

"Oh yeah! Have fun!" Casey responded. She ended up getting drunk and David decided to take her home around 9:30.

It was 9:57 and the party was about to end. My dad and stepmom actually went to bed and decided to let me do all the cleaning after the party. Jerks.

When it was 10 P.M. everybody pretty much left. Some people even took some bottles of wine. Damn neighbors.

I started cleaning the kitchen, and headed over to the living room to clean.

As I was gathering the glasses of wine off the coffee table, I saw someone.

I looked and saw him standing near the door, waiting for me to open it.
