Where am I?

What am I doing here?

What just happened?

I took a moment to think.

The crash.

I finally noticed I was in the hospital bed. I saw the IV on my arms.

I took them off and tried to move out of the bed.

"Ow!" I screamed as I fell to the ground. I looked at my leg. It was broken.

The doctors and nurses rushed into my room to help me.

"Where's my mom?" I felt dizzy.

"Just stay calm Ms. Stevenson," one of the doctors demanded. I tried to get out of their grip. They wouldn't let me go. They wouldn't let me get out.

"Where is she?" I screamed. My body felt numb. I looked to my side. Another nurse stuck a needle on my waist.

I started to fall asleep. My eyes slowly shutting. Everything turned dark. Turned blank.

December 27 9:25 a.m.

I finally woke.

I stretched, even though I felt pain. This was the first day I've waken up since that nurse stuck a needle in me. I turn to see who was behind me. It was the doctor.

"How are you feeling?" The doctor's voice was so calm. So soothing.

"I'm okay," I said with a puzzled look. I was confused. I was in pain. And I didn't want to be here. I started to think about what happened that night while the doctor went to call on the nurse to get me breakfast.

The crash.

I remembered so little. It happened all too fast. It was that truck. When my mom and I were talking and having a great time, that truck ruined it all. My mom.

"Nurse.." I called on the nurse who was about to bring my breakfast to me.

"Where is my mom?" I wanted to know now.

"Why don't you eat first. It's been three days since you've eaten," the nurse was trying to stall me.

"Where is she? Just tell me. Please," my voiced cracked and I started to tear up.

"Ms. Stevenson.." the nurse started,

"you're mother died at the car crash."
