"The squirrels here are some of the biggest, fattest squirrels I've ever seen!" Nathan told us as we were driving through the campgrounds.
We were supposed to be driving the rebar back into the parking blocks, but most of them didn't need it, so we were just driving around judging the campers.
"One time last summer I was driving through SM campground going like, 15 mph, and this squirrel just ran out in front of me, I know it saw me!" I told them, "I felt so bad for its family." Nathan and Tom both just laughed. "It was probably trying to get away from it's family," Tom said while still laughing, "Probably has too many fat kids and an annoying fat wife, he probably decided 'I'll just run under here to get away from all of them, end all of it!"
That made me giggle, poor squirrel. We never did find any rebar to hammer in that campground, so we moved on to the spillway area, where most of the parking blocks needed the rebar hammered back down. I was going to do it, but Tom and Nathan both think that since I'm a girl I can't do much. So instead Tom got out and did it, Nathan and I followed him in the truck. When he was done he hopped back in and we went back to the office for lunch.
I had red beans and rice, mashed sweet potatoes, and green beans. In their defense, it did look pretty gross. "Fried chicken and potato salad sure makes a good combination." Nathan said as he munched on his lunch. Tom replied with "Arby's and Arby's sauce does too." Then they looked at what I was eating, "I don't even know what you're having," said Tom. "Looks like baby food to me." Nathan chimed in, I just laughed at them and kept eating. "Was it on sale?" They asked, "The jars in the back of the shelf that expire before they get sold? I didn't answer, some things just don't need a reply. "For real though, what is it?" Tom asked. "Looks like mashed up carrots to me." Nathan said. "It's beans and rice and sweet potatoes!" I told them, they just looked at each other, I could tell they didn't believe me. "You know we wouldn't judge you too bad if you just brought in the Gerber jar and ate out of it," Nathan said grinning. I just glared and kept eating. I thought my lunch was pretty tasty, even if it did look gross.
