First Night Home

Zosia POV

"Zosh, we need to talk...." Ollie says to me with a worried face on his face. Colette had went to bed straight from dinner as she was suffering from jet lag.

"Not right now Ollie, Eastenders is just starting" I reply, picking up the remote and turning the TV on. Ollie slowly takes the remote out of my hand, turning the TV back off , as he sits on the edge of the coffee table in front of me, taking my hands in his.

"Zosia, I know this is your first night back home and that it's hard for you but I know something is bothering you, and I'm almost certain it's not nerves. What's going through your mind?" Ollie worriedly asks me.

"I don't know. I'm scared. Reality has hit me that I'm back home and won't be having daily chats with my psychiatrist, I've to do it all on my own. I've not had time to be a proper mum to Zac, I don't know how to do it. And then there's Noah, we still have his funeral to plan, I don't know if I can do that, but we have to. It's so scary to be alone in all this".

"Zosia, first of all, you are NOT alone, you have me, Guy, everyone at the hospital and, for the time being, Colette. You are going to be an amazing mum to Zac, all new mums feel the way you do. You will get used to it, and Zac already knows who is mummy is. He's going to be a right mummy's boy growing up. And with Noah's funeral, we will get through that together. I can arrange all the details for it, you don't need to worry your little head about it".

"Thank you Ollie, I love you so much" I reply with tears in my eyes. This is going to be a hard few months to get through.

Next morning

Ollie POV

I wake up with no one beside me. I start to panic as Zosia was crying a lot last night before finally falling asleep cradled in my arms. I get up and walk to Zac's room hoping Zosia is there but she isn't. I go over and pick Zac, who was is awake gurgling away to himself, out of his crib. I walk into Colette's room hoping to find her sleeping next to Colette but she isn't there.

"Come on Zac, let's go find mummy" I say looking down to the toothless grin smiling back at me. I let out a small giggle. Just as I was leaving Colette's room I hear a crashing sound coming from the kitchen.

Zosia POV

I got up early to make Ollie and Colette some breakfast. I was being as quiet as possible, trying not to wake anyone. I was succeeding until I took out a frying pan which knocked the rest of the pile making them crash to the floor.

"Shit...." I curse as quietly as I can. I turn round to see Ollie standing there with Zac in his arms, trying to disguise a laugh that is coming.

"It's not funny. I wanted to surprise you, to thank you for last night" I say walking over to Ollie taking Zac out of his arms.

"It's okay, you don't need to do that. I'll make you and Colette some French toast, seeing as that's your favourite breakfast" Ollie says, rubbing the tops of my arms. "I'm actually surprised Colette isn't awake yet, you know with all the racket you're making" he sarcastically says. Just with that, Colette walks into the kitchen, yawning a as she does.

"I'm sorry for waking you Col, it's not my fault that all the pots and pans have just been flung into the cupboard" I say, smiling sarcastically at Ollie.

"After breakfast, do you want to go shopping Zosia? Just for a catch up, and also we can take Zac to give Ollie a break from parental duties for a while" Colette asks me.

"I'd love that. Is that ok with you Ol?"

"Of course it is" Ollie answers, putting plates down in front of us, each with 2 slices of French toast.

"I love you so much, Ollie" I say planting a kiss on his lips before digging into my breakfast.

Sorry I've not updated. Been busy with looking for a job and college. Not updated (I think) since the second engagement but omg it was so cute, I'm so excited for the wedding :D anyway, thank you for reading my story and giving it likes.
