You're Mine & Only Mine

Ch. 2

John Ross and I walked into the Chinese restraint and took our seat in the back. There's not a lot of people here but that's good. I looked at the drink menu when his phone started to go off.
"Please don't answer that." I told him putting the menu down.
"It will only be a second." He told me before he stood up, answered it, and left.
I can't believe that he's doing this. Well, I can. I ordered my drink and when I was about to order my food John Ross came back; and he didn't look happy.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"Just some clingy girl." He told me as he looked at the menu.
I just sighed and ordered my food. I hate the fact that he still goes out with other women when we are on a date.
~After dinner~
"Do you want to sleep at my place?" He asked me as we left the restraint.
"No, I have to get up early tomorrow to help with the horses." I told him.
We just walked to the car and didn't say anything for awhile. But, not even half way to my apartment we started small talk. It wasn't much, just something so it wouldn't be silent.
"Are you going with anyone to the party that Bobby is putting on?" I asked as I looked at him.
He had this weird look on his face when I asked him. "Actually, yes, I'm going with Lexie. I asked her a couple days ago."
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked him.
"I didn't think you needed to know." He told me.
I was about to say something but he then stopped in front of my apartment. I got out and didn't say anything to him. As soon as I shut the car door he left me standing in the dark. I walked into the building and went up to my apartment. I went to my bedroom and changed into my pjs. I started to watch TV but then my phone started to go off. I checked the ID and seen it was Christopher.
"Hey." I said turning the volume down on my tv.
"Hey, I was wondering if you are going to the cook out this weekend." He asked me.
"Yeah but I'm not sure how long I'm staying." I told him.
"Is it because of John Ross and Lexie?" Christopher asked me.
"Did everyone but me know?" I asked getting upset.
"Probably." He said to me.
"Whatever. And you know what, I'm going to stay the whole time." I said getting up from my sofa.
"Morgan, don't do anything stupid, please?" He asked me.
"I can't make any promises." I said and hung up.
I walked into my bedroom and opened my closet doors to see what I can wear. I'm not just going to let some whore take John Ross from me.
~Next Day~

I got out of my car and went up to the horse barn. I'm helping Ann take care of the horses and then we are going to go shopping for the cook out. So, I have a busy day ahead of me.
I was about to go into the barn when I heard someone yell my name. I turned around and seen John Ross walking towards me. I stood there and crossed my arms.
"Hey, what are you doing later?" He asked me with a smirk.
"I'm working." I said and turned around.
I started walking again when he ran beside me. "You can leave early. I want to go out tonight." He told me as he grabbed my hand.
"How about you take Lexie out." I told him pulling my hand from his.
"Are you really jealous of her?" He asked me.
"No, John Ross, I'm not jealous of her. I'm sick of you always going out with other women and then asking me to go on dates with you!" I yelled at him.
"It's not like you and I are dating! Why does it matter who else I go out with?" He yelled back at me.
I rolled my eyes and started walking back at the barn.

First off, I'm sorry for the late update! Second, I'm sorry that this chapter is short but I have prom tonight. I'll try to update soon but I'm really busy right now!
