Big Brother To The Rescue

(Huehuehue, ya'll get to meet ONE of Mae's older bro's, Jack. So I'll just let you read it.)

Mae's POV

I ran and ran as fast as I could without stopping, the voices of Fang, Lillith and a faint crystal fading away as I ran deep into the woods. The wind in my hair as tears fells from my eyes to the ground, staining my face. This has never happened before...I've always been able to keep it inside. Why was today any different?

Just then a sharp pain erupted from my right eye. I cried out in pain and immediately fell to my knees holding my right eye. When I pulled my hand back I saw a black goo. I quickly took out my mirror I keep in my pocket just in case, and shakely look at my eye. I screamed and dropped the small object, shattering it to pieces. What I saw was unnatural, even for me, my right eye was black on the outside and the inside was red, black goo oozing from wear tears are supposed to be.

I then hear footsteps coming my way. I stand up covering my right eye again.

"W-WHO'S THERE?!"

I yell. My eyes go wide fore I saw my brother, Jack. His eyes went wide as he say me.

"J-Jack?"

I say softly. He steps closer to me. I back up each time he took a step.

"Mae?"

He said almost in a whisper. I gulped and I hit a tree. He reached out to my right eyes, trying to uncover it. I moved my head so he couldn't see. He growled and grabbed my faces making me face him.

"Show me Mae. I can help..."

I shooked my head and he forcefully moved my hair from my right eye. I expected him to run, but instead he hugged me tightly and let me cry on his shoulder.
