-Nikolaus-

The woman that is leading our way through the crowd tries her best to trip over and giggle hysterically but I know it's all an act. In fact I knew from the moment she asked me whether I wanted to have some 'fun'. She appears drunk but I don't smell a drop of alcohol. I did detect the hint of strong liquor in her breath and it was enough to get intoxicated by. But I can tell whether someone is faking. I am too old not to notice the smallest of details.

Why she is pretending I have no clue, it is definitely suspicious, but none of that matters to me right now.

The only reason why I willingly agreed to her 'fun' is because I am curious to taste her. I wasn't going to waste my time with some useless game she had in mind. I wanted to taste her blood now. Her smell is so different from the livestock that surrounds us and I can't help but think about sinking my fangs into her delicate flesh. Sucking her blood and savouring the melodious taste that her scent is promising.

Maybe this is Rosetta's surprise?

But where on this earth did she find someone with such a peculiar and fragrant aroma?

Although I am excited to find out how her blood would taste on my tongue, the familiarity of her smell still nudges me.

I've smelt it before.

But I just can't figure it out.

I am so lost in my thoughts that I don't even notice the door of a dimly lit room close behind us. I didn't even notice that we were out of the crowds.

But this is good. I finally have her all to myself. A smirk forms unexpectedly across my lips as  excitement fills me. Well this is odd. I've never been this excited for a while. My fangs slowly extend to their full length and my eyes glow neon violet as I ready myself to attack her when suddenly, I feel something sharp pierce my back. A burning sensation spreads where the wound is inflicted and I snarl in confusion.

I turn to see what had just happened.

'What the-' I feel a small fist hit me square on the jaw in a flash and the brisk impact pushes me back a few paces.

My confusion turns into anger and I can feel it boil in me like hot magma.

I shake the dizziness out of my head.

'You do not know who you are messing with,' I growl then I look up to see the barrel of a gun aimed at my face.

The woman is pointing the small weapon at me and is giving me a cool stare. Her once hazel eyes have changed into a burning magenta colour and they seem to glow brightly in the dark.

My eyes widen as I slowly understand what she is now. Her eyes said it all. No wonder she smelt familiar.

She's a f***ing Valkryja!

'No,' the woman says in a low voice, 'you don't know who you're messing with.'
