Malaysia walked into the airport- okay it was more so kind of sped walked mixed with a bit of jogging. Her boyfriend was flying in from Atlanta to spend the next two weeks with her. It felt like she hadn't seen him in years but in reality, it's only been six months.

I guess that was a lot of time though, especially when neither of them had a lot of time to talk to one another. At times she wondered if they were actually still a thing because she just seemed more into the relationship than he was but she tried not to focus on that right now. She was focusing on the boy walking out the long hallway, getting his things and making his way to her.

"Michael!" she screamed, maybe a little too loud but she didn't really care

"May, baby." he grinned ear to ear scooping her up in his arms like she was ice cream or something. He's missed the feel and smell of her. He missed her in general.

"Wow," she breathed as she locked her fingers with his. He was sporting his normal jeans, huaraches, and loose white hoodie that sat so pretty against his chocolate skin.

He laughed peering down at the girl, "Wow, what? Do I look that bad?"

"Nah, you look great. Pretty even."

He rolled his eyes playfully, "Pretty, uh-huh."

"Who's been keeping this patch of hair braided?" May asked raising a brow, taking her spot in the drivers seat while Michael sat in the passengers side.

"Sheeda, my barbers girl. After I get the sides cut she does 'em." he noted rubbing his hands against his legs, leaning his head against the seat watching the melanin girl focus on the road.

She hummed "She better just be braiding your hair too."

They both laughed, his hand catching hold of hers. "She's not like that."

"Yea, yea. Stop sucking up." she smiled turning onto her street.
