I stood there, humiliation and nausea filled my body. Red flushed to my face and i stood there paralyzed when the bell began to ring in my ear. People were pushing and shoving past me, but i didn't pick up my pace. I shuffled quietly to my class, sat down and began to fight back the tears, the time past quickly when i had something so difficult to occupy my time. "Aurora!" My teachers shouts. I wasn't doing such a good job holding back my tears. "Do you need to excuse yourself?" she said in a stern tone, i ran out of the room to avoid further embarrassment.
I didn't know what to do, where to go, so i ran to the restroom. I looked into the mirror, my eyes where red, tears brimming at the edge, They spilled over and the warm droplets fell slowly down my face. Every little imperfection on my body was suddenly apparent. I looked deep into my eyes in the mirror, when i saw her standing behind me, laughing. "You finally see it Don't you?" she chimed. I couldn't say a thing, my words caught in my throat. "You finally realized, you're a freak"There it was again. That word. Freak. She grabbed my wrist, looking at my bracelet. "Aurora." she proclaimed. "Well, Aurora, Stay away from Nathan. And stay away from me. In fact, do everyone a favor, kill yourself." With that she walked out, When she finally reached the door, her brown hair fluttered sightly and the bell rang as the door slammed behind her.
Last bell was finally over, i grabbed my algebra book, and with one last look at myself in the mirror i wandered out. I saw Her and Nathan walking in the hall in front of me, they were bickering again. She stomped off, leaving him alone. Nathan glanced behind him, seeing me, he brightened a little. "Oh, Hey. Whats up?" he wondered. "Oh, uh, nothing much...you?" I replied clenching my book, i was so nervous, why was he talking to me? "Nothing new, just auguring with Rebecca. Again." He laughed a bit, but his face darkened. "At least you .don't have to worry about drama and stuff" he continued.
"You don't know the half of it" I muttered. I glanced down after staring into his stunning blue eyes. "oh really?"he rolled his eyes, "Tell me about it". By now we were in front of our building. We trotted up the stairs, almost in silence.
My door was right in front of the stares, he walked me to the door, well uh, " he pause a minute, reading the name printed on the door in bright blue letters, "Aurora, we should hang out, i have this Saturday open, I'm just down the hall if you wanna watch some tv or something. But uh.. y'know try not to let anyone see, we wouldn't want anyone getting the wrong idea." he rubbed the back of his neck with his hand, and giggled a little under his breath. "Yeah..." i blushed a little, forgetting to go in my small 6x7 room. "Oh, uh, bye..." i say finally remembering, rushing into my room. I lean against the door "woah." is all i say
