Silvano had to snigger to himself. Marcia and Oliver were in his grasp. Here and now. He could kill Oliver at any moment and take Marcia home as his wife. They were, after all, almost going to get married.
"Hey Silv," Marcia said walking around his apartment, "this is a really nice place." Silvano smiled. I picked it out just for you. "The decorating creates a type of homey feel. I'm sure your wife and kids are going to love it here." She walked around some more, unaware of the dangerous eyes watching her like a hawk.
"I wanted to design something she would feel comfortable in," he said. He walked over to her so that he was standing behind her. He set both hands on her shoulders and squeezed lightly. "I plan on keeping her here for a while; if you know what I mean."
Marcia laughed out loud. Silvano was always the womanizer type of guy who, with just a look, make a girl drop her panties. He definitely was not lacking in the looks department. If it were a different time and place, maybe she would have fallen for him. Maybe she would be living here with their own children. She snapped out of her wandering thoughts.
She had once dreamt about a family with him, but it seemed as if God had an alternative plan for her. She loved it either way. She loved Oliver. She loved when every time he would smile at her, butterflies would flutter around and a small brush would form on her cheeks. She loved how he called her beautiful even when she got back from a long day of work or from a run.
She couldn't see Silvano playing nice with her. All she could see was a dominate man who would take her to bed instead of dinner. She craved to be loved by someone who would treat her right. Silvano just didn't fit the criteria.
"What are you thinking about?" Silvano whispered in her ear. His hands began to travel down her biceps in a slow manner. It created an ease and relaxation for her.
"Oliver," she sighed.
"Couple problems?" He hoped he was correct on his assumption. That would make it easier to swoop in and claim what was rightfully his. Or so he thought.
She shook her head. "No. Not at all. On the contrary, actually." He frowned slightly. "I also want to find my child."
Silvano's eyes grew wide. "You have a child? What's his name and what happened to him?" He turned her around gently and saw the glistening tears in her eyes. She sniffled.
"He was taken by a man named Pietro. Oliver going out information leading us to Italy. However, we don't know if we're in the right area," she explained. A tear glided down her cheek and he used the pad of his thumb to wipe it away.
"I am truly sorry." He brought his arms around her in a hug. He rested his head on the top of hers. She cried into his shirt. This is where you belong. "If there is anything I can do for you, don't hesitate to ask."
She sniffled some more and looked up at him. She palmed the side of his head and told him, "Thank you. You're my best friend in the entire world. I don't know what I'd do without you."
He softened at her words. Sadly, he was friend zoned by her once again. He would try to get her to be more attracted to him in a more than friend way. "I mean it when I say that I care about you." He watched as her blue eyes softened at his words. Score one. "I'll do anything to make you happy."
She smiled slightly. "You're amazing, and I love that about you. Please, can I do anything for you?"
He could think of a few things she could do, but now was not the time nor the place. Oliver was hanging around somewhere, probably trying to find something against him, so he couldn't confess his love to her. Instead, he pressed a kiss to her forehead. "I am content the way I am. Thank you, though."
