first she had received a subpar grade on a test, saw the unfair schedule for her final exams, then Bronx got sick, and to top it all off her Jeep was making a weird noise if she went over 35.
not to mention, it felt like she had no one.
her mom was busy with her new job, her dad was out coaching the d-backs Fall Ball league in Mesa and she wasn't about to drag Auston into all her college life drama.
he had other things to worry about, like being the leading rookie scorer and helping the Leafs make the comeback they deserved.
stressed didn't even begin to cut how Macey felt.
so that night, she crumbled.
she locked herself in her room turned on a mopey Ed Sheeran playlist and wailed. Bronx, who hadn't been feeling well hid under Macey's bed to escape the sound of her cries.
after what felt like hours but was truly only 20 minutes her roommate Riley fetched the key that unlocked all 3 of the houses bedrooms and broke her way into Macey's room.
she found the dark haired girl wrapped in a large USA hockey sweatshirt sitting on the hardwood floor in a sea of blankets and wadded up tissues.
"Moo, babes, what's wrong?" Riley asked in a soft voice crouching down in front of her.
the brunette sniffled and shook her head of messy hair, "Nothing, I'm fine."
"Bullshit, tell me why you're locked in here crying." Riley slid down onto the floor next to her best friend as their third roommate appeared in the doorway.
"What happened?" Hailey questioned storming into the room in typical Hailey fashion.
"I don't know I'm trying to get it out of her." Riley added as she continued to stare at the only brunette of the trio.
