Shit, shit, shit. Everything was going fuzzy, yet she never stopped running. She couldn't stop running, if she did, it'd get her.
She took a quick glance to see how close it was behind her, and that's all it took for her to lose her balance. She was now on the ground terrified for what was getting closer to her, shuffling back as fast as she could while still on the ground, but the base of a tree was now in the way. She was almost completely engulfed in the fog but then,She shot up from her cot and attempted to regain her breath. She sat there gasping for air not yet able to recover from her nightmare.
"It's not real" She kept telling herself, even though this one may have been a dream. It's happened in real life, more than once. Maybe not to her but to people she's cared about, Atom.
"Octavia? Are you up?" She heard a familiar voice calling from outside of her tent.
"Yeah, I'll be out in a minute Bell" Octavia said trying to cover the fact that she's had the same nightmare three days in a row now. She has hardly been getting any sleep at all, it was taking a toll on her.
A groggy Octavia slowly exited her tent and stopped in her tracks at the sight of what was in front of her. Raven. She was sitting on a tree stump fiddling with the walkie talkies try to get them onto the right frequency. But it was so odd to see her working outside of her workshop, not a bad odd, in fact it's a good odd, great even.
Octavia stumbled over to the mechanic and gave her a tired grin.
"Hey Rae" She said with a toothy grin, a beautiful yet rare sight coming from Octavia.
"Heya O, you seem chipper today, did you have a good sleep?" Raven asked with genuine curiosity.
"Actually um no, pretty terrible one to be honest, I guess I'm just happy to finally see you out of that stuffy 'workshop' of yours" Octavia said as she plopped down beside the brown haired girl.
"Don't you dare trash talk my shop like that!" Raven said exaggeratedly as she nudged her friend in the shoulder.
Octavia let out a slight chuckle as she shook her head at Raven's antics.
"I'm going to go grab some food, you want anything Rae?"
"Nah I'm good, thanks anyways O" she said with a small grin at her tired friends thoughtfulness.
Octavia gave her a slight nod to acknowledge her and carried on her way to the main camp, the tents were a bit off to the side of their site and the main grounds were where the food, water, weapons and other important things were kept.
Octavia glanced up as she was getting some berries and nuts to serve as her light breakfast only to see Clarke with her brother, yet again.
She rolled her eyes at her brothers terrible flirting and Clarke's obliviousness. For all Clarke knew Bellamy just thought of her as a friend, how could someone so smart be so clueless?Octavia made her way over to her brother to try and save Clarke from his awful pick up lines, which she somehow has also never caught onto.
"Mornin' Bell, Mornin' Clarke!"
"Hey O" Bellamy said as he shot her a slight glare as if to say 'I'm busy here'
Octavia gave a quiet chuckle and wrapped her arm around Clarke
"Hey Octavia!" Clarke said with a little grin appearing on her face because of her friends chipper attitude this morning.
"You mind if I talk to you for a second Clarke?"
"Sure! You ok with that Bellamy?"
He gave the blonde a quick nod and shuffled away as his sister stole Clarke away from him, Bellamy hated to admit it but he already knew Clarke was impossible to get, he just couldn't pinpoint how she felt towards him and vice versa. He was interested in knowing despite already feeling the fact that it wouldn't work out.
