Raven finally fished up with the walkie talkies, she had found a good frequency to use, 20.5.
She could go to bed knowing that her work load got a little bit lighter and that she could have a little less weight on her shoulders.
She went to her tent and quickly removed her red jacket and her boots, this admittedly was one of her favourite parts of the day, sleep.
Just as Raven lifted up her covers she heard a faint noise over the radio.

"I'm sure it's nothing" Raven thought, then she remembered. She told Octavia to call her if her nightmare came back. She wasn't going to take any chances, so she grabbed her boots and ran to her best friends tent. Octavia's tent was relatively close to Raven's but it took her about five minutes to get there.

As Raven arrived outside her tent she peaked through the fabric 'door' to see if Octavia was sleeping. She wasn't. Octavia was sitting up at the edge of her bed with her head in her hands, the way the small amount of light caught Octavia's eyes Raven could see that tears had already been swelling up in her Emerald eyes.

"O?" Raven said with a very soft voice not wanting to scare her even more than she already was.

"Rae, I- I need you" Octavia could barely get the words out without her voice breaking due to her emotions.

Raven quickly went to the base of Octavia's bed and sat next to her. She quickly wrapped her arms around the crying girl and stroked her hair until her breathing became more regular.
Even after her breaths evened out Raven never let go, she was still holding her in her arms and caressing her cheek with her thumb gently. The repeated motion made Octavia relax, she felt so safe in Raven's arms, she felt safe with Raven.

Octavia fell asleep in Raven's arms, she somehow managed to look even more adorable in her sleep. Raven slowly got up with the girl still in her arms, she went to place Octavia softly on her cot then it turns out Octavia wasn't asleep. She pulled Raven's arm so she was now only inches away from her face, away from her eyes, her lips. Then Raven her soft words being whispered into her ear.

"Rae, please stay with me? I- I'm scared without you, P-please?" Octavia said almost choking on her own words.

"Anything for you my little warrior" Raven said smiling at Octavia without even realizing that she couldn't see her face in the dark. Raven gave Octavia a small kiss on the forehead and told her she'd be right back, but not before she wrapped her jacket around Octavia, her little warrior.

Raven went back to her tent to grab her radio in case anyone needed her for the amazing mechanic she was. She took her radio and brought a sleeping bag over into Octavia's tent and started to make her 'bed'.

Octavia saw that Raven had brought a sleeping bag and couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed, she didn't know why, but she just felt that way.

"You know you don't have to sleep on the floor Rae" Octavia said with a tired voice which for her was just a really rough and husky voice.

Raven shot up off the ground the second she heard her name leave Octavia's lips, she was hoping that she would tell her that. She didn't know why she just hoped she would.

"Where would you like me to go then O?"
Octavia could practically hear the smirk in Raven's voice when she said that.

"Well" Octavia said attempting to swallow the lump in her throat.
"If you wouldn't mind I'd like my best friend right next to me"
She added the 'best friend' to try and make it easier for her to say, but it didn't help at all. Why were things like that so hard to say all of the sudden? She only thought of Raven as her friend. Right?

"Anything for you O" Raven meant that. She'd do anything for Octavia. Anything. Octavia let out a sigh of relief when she heard these words, they somehow made everything feel right. With everything bad that has been going on, she really needed Raven to say that. And she was grateful that she did.
