Truth or Dare?

I spent to whole Biology class with my headphones in, listening to Coldplay’s new album and twiddling my thumbs.

Harry’s eyes were burning in the back of my head.  I didn’t even have to turn to look at him. I could just sense it.

Louis and Harry spent the class period catching up and writing song lyrics. I suppose they’re in a band together. But I didn’t care to much as to ask.

I sigh.

“You alright love?” Lou taps on my shoulder.

I rip out my earphone. “What?”

“You okay?” Concern is written in his eyes.

“I’m just sleepy” I open my mouth and fake yawn. Then bite my lip to stop the real yawn from proceeding.

Harry shifts in his seat and coughs.

“Okay love, we can grab some breakfast after this period? It’s only the first day, all the lectures will be monogamist syllabuses. We will take my truck”

I nob in agreement then lay my head back down on my arms and close my eyes.

Louis begins to rub my back softly.

But surprisingly, I don’t even care this time. It feels really nice actually.

I drift off into a short doze.

HARRY”S POV

 I smack the backside of Louis’s head. “Don’t do that!”

“What the hell, mate!? DO what!?”

Ana twitches in her sleep.

“Stop touching her” I say firmly.

“Oh-ho-ho is Mr. Styles getting jealous?”

I scoff. “NO! It’s just disrespectful. You know, you ju-, well.. You..I.. You just met her okay! Leave her alone!”

Louis raises his hands in defeat.

“Alright mate, alright. Just calm down.”

It gets silent.

“So..” Louis says awkwardly.

“How are you and Kendall?”

I roll my eyes.

“It was all fake.” I blurt out.

“..What do you mean?”

I inhale.

“It was all publicity to her. Nothing was real. We never spoke, it was always quiet. And her mother is a quack.”

He laughs.

“Harry, no offense.. but girls who are famous are only going to go after you because you are YOU. You’re the most famous boy in our band. Girls hear won’t know who you are because you keep your life on such a down low.”

He massages his eyebrows as if he has a headache.

“My best advice for you is to try and live a normal life while balancing out your career. I do it with Eleanor. You’ll be able to do it too. Just know that our record will be released to the states within the next few months and you won’t be able to hide who you really are.”

My face falls.

“But it will be okay, mate! I’m in the same boat with ya’” He shakes my shoulders in reassurance.

Ana exhales deeply.

I look over at her.

She’s moved her hand away from her face while she’s been asleep. She’s really beautiful.
