Chapter 5

I get in the driver's seat of my car while Dom climbs in the passenger. We take off dodging the cops left and right until I don't see any police on my tail so I drive us back to Dom's house. We get out and walk into the house where only a few people are. Dom grabs two beers and we sit on the couch and continue to chat, that night I get to know everyone in the family better and they now accept me as one of their own.

It's a few months later its time for race wars Dom gave Brian the directions. While the team and I all head there together, Dom is driving the trailer while the rest of us are driving our cars. Dom says he can't race because of when he beat the man who killed his father almost to death with a wrench. So I told him about beating that man into a coma. Earning the street name Jinx, everyone in the street fighting world thinks going up against me will get them killed, after that we became closer he is a big protective brother. Letty and I have become besties and she told me how she thinks of me as a sister and I told her that I would love to be her sister. Mia is like the sister I've never had and we do a lot together now mostly shopping. Leon pulls my car up to the race line and I quickly run to it. When about to get in the guy I'm racing calls "Looking good mama. After I win I'm going to enjoy that sweet ass of yours." I bend down to his window and say. "Awe sweetheart you ain't winning even if you dreamt it." I then get in my car and the flagger sets us off. He takes the lead but it doesn't last long soon I take it causing him to use his nitro too soon. I press mine and I fly over the finish line winning two g's I park my car then head over to Dom and the team. They congratulate me and then Dom pulls me aside. "What did he say?" "Don't sweat it he was just hitting on me why are you bugging?" "I'm just trying to protect you your family Kitten." "I know Dom but I'm not a child." "I know but you're like a little sister to me I need to protect you." He looks at me for a few minutes then he hugs me tight. "You will always be my sister I love you, my little Jinx." "I love you too Dominic Toretto." "Yo Dom, breathJinx it's Jessie." Dom and I look to where Vince is pointing. "Where is Jessie going?" "He just raced Johnny Tran for pinks." "Oh shit." "Let me handle this Dom please I can help." "Where is your boy going Toretto." "Look Johnny the kids just having a panic attack we will get your car to you okay just breathe." "Fine deliver it or you know what will happen Jinx." "Is that a threat Tran?" "Just deliver me the car when that punk ass kid comes back." "Deliver it, deliver it this ain't your block no more Tran it's ours so watch your mouth," Dom stated while getting upset. Dom starts to walk away when Tran starts yelling at him."Toretto, Toretto Swat came into my home disrespected me in front of my family because someone narked on me... You know what it was you." Dom turned around and punched Johnny in the face. I went behind him as he climbed on top of Johnny and grabbed his arm. He looks back at me and I put my other hand on his face. "It's okay Dom this is not who you are." He lowers his arm and stood up as we were walking away, he turns around facing Tran. "I ain't nark on no one." With that, we all walk back to our trailer. We spent the afternoon and evening talking about where Jessie could be and when he would come back.

It is eleven and Dom, Vince, Leon, and Letty are preparing to leave. "Dom guys where are you going?" "We are going out don't worry we will be back soon." "Dom, don't go without Jessie it could be dangerous." "Fine then Jinx comes with us this is the big one we can't miss it." I nod, hug Mia and hop in Dom's car. We take off as I see a single tear roll down Mia's face. "Why is this so important Dom." "This is how our family makes extra cash we boost trailers and sell them on the side." He explains to me as we drive to a stadium in the middle of nowhere and pick up three black Hondas. Once we uncover them we pack the equipment we need in them and head out on the road Dom tells me what the plan is. Once we pull up to the eighteen wheeler Letty with Vince pull in front of it and Vince pulls the passenger window out of the Wheeler then their car pulls back. As they are doing that I tell Dom "If I die tell my brother I'm sorry and Dom you and the guys will always be the family I always wanted." With that, I slip my helmet on and I grab my harpoon gun pop out the sunroof as we pull in front of the truck I take aim and shoot the gun at the passenger seat. I clip the wire to my harness, climb onto the roof and jump to the truck. As I land the driver pulls a two barrel shotgun at me I quickly duck as he shoots right at me just barely missing me. I try to climb onto the hood but he shoots again. When he is reloading I am able to climb in and once I'm in I kick the driver trying to get the gun away from him. He pulls the trigger and it shoots me right in the ribs and one in the roof. I try and distract him as he is putting in more shells. While I also try and get him out of the driver's seat. He loads and fires again missing me but hitting Vince who had climbed on to help me.
