Chapter 3

 The next morning I get up and dress in last night's clothes and head downstairs to my car. "Awe look she's even sneaking out like a whore." Letty and the team laugh. "I'm not sneaking out I'm going home to change for work with all you wonderful people. So go ahead and call me all the names you want I don't care, we are about to see a whole lot more of each other so get used to it doll face." Letty looked pissed and she shoved past me and up the stairs. I just walk out and climb into my car, start it then head home. Once home I shower after I get dressed I grab the keys to my Acura NSX. In the car, I start it and listen to my 3.5 L V6 just purr I may not have been street racing, but I would never just let my baby just sit. I rev her engine and then burn out of my driveway, I speed all through town until I pull up to the Toretto store and garage. As I pull up the guys and Letty all step out to see who showed up. When they see me step out of my car their jaws drop. "Is this yours?" Jessie asks as he runs towards it then hovers his hand over her. "Sure is I've spent loads on making her purr just right." "Awe man she is so nice." "Thanks, man now Dom whatcha need me to do?" He waves for me to follow him back into the shop, inside I see a honda CRX I walk over to her. As I look over the car I sense I'm being watched, sure enough, when I turn around Dom is staring at my ass. "Yo Dom my eyes are up here." "Sorry Jinx I just can't help it you're sexy." He says while wrapping his arms around my waist. "My name is Katlynn Jinx is my street name, well shall we get to fixing the car?" He nods and goes into telling me what needs to be fixed. We work on it and by the afternoon we are almost finished. Brian pulls up with a tow truck that has a beater on it, everyone laughs. "What is that?" "It's your car?" "My car? I asked for a ten second not ten minute." As they insult Brian and the car I climb onto the tow truck. They continue to mock the car as I pop the hood to see what kind of motor we will be working with. "What are you doing?" "I know my brother Dom he wouldn't bring a beater like this here if he didn't have a reason too." "Then what is his reason babe?" "Oh man Jessie you need to see this motor." "2 J to the engine no shit." "See." "I retract my previous statement." "This will decimate all after..." "You put about fifteen grand into it," I say interrupting Jessie. "We might have to ship parts overnight from Japan." He finishes. "Put it on my tab at Harry's, I have got to get you two racing again so I can make money off of you." I just roll my eyes as everyone goes back to work, I walk over to Dom. "So now are you going to just keep me around to make money off me." "You know it ain't like that Kat." "Can we talk for a minute outside." He nods and we walk out of the garage and away from everyone. "So whatcha need?" "You and Letty together." "Yeah," He says chuckling. "It's not funny Dom I don't want to be a sex object." "Okay, I'm sorry." I give him a small smile and look down, lifts my head to where we are looking into each other's eyes. He then places his hands on my cheeks, pulling me closer he says "I will always protect you." "There is a race tonight, you think you're ready to race the streets with four wheels again." "I may be rusty but I don't lose." "That's my girl alright after work get changed then meet us at the house." I nod and head back into the garage.
