Once we got back we were met by a still sleeping Edward so I took the liberty of waking him up 'nicely'. I pulled the covers out from beneath him, causing him to fall out of the bed.
"WHAT THE-" he struggled, I couldn't help but laugh at him. "WHERE ARE WE!?" Edward questioned me. "In a tree." I replied bluntly "DONT LIE TO ME!" He screamed using alchemy to make a spear "SERIOUSLY! THATS MY BRAND NEW FLOOR!" I screamed before throwing a ball of metal at him.
"Owww!" he said dropping the spear to hold his head. "You're an idiot." I said before fixing my floor. "So, who exactly are you?" Edward asked,"Take a seat." I sighed, motioning to the couch. After Edward sat down, I warmed up his tea before handing it to him.
"Ok, let's see where should I start." I pondered, siting down across from them. "From the beginning." Edward said "Thank you captain obvious." I said. "For as long as I can remember, I've had these memory's that aren't mine. They belong to a boy around my age" I began.
"That boy has a younger brother. He lost his mother to an illness and in attempt to bring her back, he almost lost his brother. But he attached his soul to a suit of armor in exchange for a leg." I stopped and looked up at Edward, he had a look of sadness with a hint of curiosity on his face.
"I told my parents. They dismissed it and told me that it was just a recurring dream, so I told my best friend." I continued "Somehow, the village people found out. They slaughtered my family, forcing me to watch before going on to kill my best friend."
A tear would stream down my face as I paused to wipe it."You don't have to finish if you don't want to." Alphonse said, "No, you guys deserve to know." I said. "Are you sure?" Alphonse tried, "Yes" I wiped my tears before continuing again.
"My best friend and I had raised a cat together, they tried to slaughter her to, but I saved her. I gave her automail, and nicknamed her Gear" I said hugging Gear. "I couldn't stand being without my best friend, so when I saw you guys try to bring your mom back, I tried to. I altered it. It was successful but," I stopped .
"But what?" Edward asked "The homunculi found out. They took him and the recipe to alture the ultimate taboo, but it wasn't the full recipe. I figured something would happen so I only wrote half of the recipe down, so now they need me. If the recipe were to fall into the wrong hands, it could spell disaster for us all." I finished.
"Wow" Alphonse gaped "So I'm guessing you already know our story then." Edward said, "Yeah" I replied. "So, you seriously live in a tree huh?" Edward asked trying to change the mood, "No, I don't live in a tree, I live with a girl whome you should know as Whinry." I informed them.
"You know Whinry?" Alphonse asked, "Yep, I was actually planning on heading back." I said. "Can we come?" Alphonse asked, "Sure, why not." I replied picking Gear up before walking to the station.
