Chapter 3: the bite

The next morning I woke up like the usual mornings and got up and looked in the mirror. Ahhhh!!! My hair I- it-it has a streak of blue in it! Seriously! Dad is going to be ticked when he sees this, but what would I tell him? I thought to myself. He wouldn't believe me if I told him it was just a bug! Uhh.. I don't know I guess I'll have to tell him, what I really thought happened and see if he believes me! Oh never mind... I'm going to wear a hat when I'm around dad haha!! I'm so smart I thought to myself. But, I need to find out after school what is happening with this wacko hair of mine. "That won't be necessary." I turned around so quick that I almost hit the corner of the wall. I swear I just heard a voice from the other side of my room! Oh whatever, I put on a hat. Uh.. Ew.. I don't look good in hats! No! U can still see it in my hair. I took the hat off quickly and set it back in my closet. I got dressed and went downstairs to eat. I walked down the stairs slowly thinking about what my dad's reaction would be. "What would he say," I thought to myself. I casually walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table like nothing was happening. My dad looked at me oddly. "Kelli, what's that in your hair", he ask curiously. "Ok, dad, I woke up the next morning and it was there I swear I'm not lying to you,"I said pleading. "How did this even happen?"my dad said. Last night a lady bug flew on my shoulder and bit me, I didn't have a drink or anything just that, when I got home I felt really sick inside and I think that's why I threw up, and then I woke up this morning to this! "Hmmmm, I believe you," dad said with a worried and not surprised look on his face as if he knew what was happening to me. "Ok, have a great day at school, love you," dad said kissing my forehead. I rushed out the door thinking oddly about my dad's reaction. "Why wouldn't he like yell at me or something", I thought. I unlocked the car and got in my blue mustang. I drove to school listening to the radio. I soon arrived at school. Crap! I forgot to study for that huge test today!!! Dang it! I rushed into class trying to study the most I could at least I could do before the test. "Class, please put your study materials away and get out a pen or pencil," our teacher said politely. I got out my aqua pencil, putting it in my hand messing with it. The teacher passed out the tests.. "Good luck class, and no cheating," the teacher said. I flipped over my paper. First question, ok.. Uhh I don't know this one skip! Second question, I don't know! Uhh.. I just put a random answer In because I lied and didn't study which was a stupid move on me. I walked up and turned it in. The bell rang and the rest of school was just ok I guess. I walked to the parking lot and got in the car. "That won't be necessary," a voice said. "Who is that?" I yelled looking around getting out of my car. I got back in my car and drove off, what the heck is that?! I ran upstairs to my bedroom and sat on my bed by my goldfish Lego. I just lay there thinking what's been wrong with me lately. I got up to go feed my fish. Holding my hand out, I let the fish food drop into the water and then I released from the fist I just made. I rose my hand up to go back to my bed when water just rose up from the tank. I moved my hand, I was literally moving water. I moved it back and forth and then let go of my grip and the water fell back in. Then I raised up my hand and held my grip, water rose up again. I swayed it side to side, water was moving in thin air! No way... I can control water! I put down my hand slightly and making my hand straight, I aimed it towards my lamp. I pushed my hand out, I can't believe it, I saw my lamp on fire. No way! I control fire,and water. I spent about 2 hours doing it over and over. Cool! Then I also found my last power, I could control the weather! So those were my powers, weather, fire, and water! I spent another hour doing that and then I lay down on my bed. I thought I heard my door open but nothing... Whatever. "So I see you found your powers!" Said a voice again! I instantly got off my bed. I felt my body slam hard against the floor and felt something go into my skin! Ouch... That's all I saw until my vision instantly went blurry than black. The only words I remember was Kelli...No!
