Aryn POV
"Aryn?" His voice wavered as if he were nervous. I turned around averting my attention from my friend to the speaker. The second I looked I felt my ribs press up against my heart. Restraining it from letting any pain in."What do you what, Nate. " I snapped.
"We need to talk. " He answered with pleading eyes. I knew he would eventually try to talk to me. I mean. I knew, and at the same time kind of hoped, he would realized what he did and come crawling back. Probably not what I should feel. I should hate him. Right? But sadly and frustratingly, I don't.
"Aryn?" He tried again. "Please. " I looked away trying to stay mad.
As if I would talk to you. Yeah. That's good I'll say that. Imaginary high five.
"O-ok. " What! No. Don't talk to him. Stupid brain.
"Good. " He said relived. "I'm sorry. I should have never done that. "
"Then why'd you do it?" I returned. Good one. "Wasn't it?" I said to myself satisfied for my sassy remark.
"What?" He asked with confusion clearly read on his face.
"Nothing. " I added faster than necessary. "Go on. "
"I don't know why. But after that whole incident, I couldn't stop thinking about you. Us. What this is really supposed to mean is I BEEP BEEP. "
"I'm sorry. Come again?"
"I said, I BEEP BEEP. " Nate repeated.
What the....
I gasped and launched my body forward. I quickly searched around. My room. My bed. My alarm. God damn I wanted to know! Stupid fake dream. I sighed a rested my head on my pillow. Smashing my eyelids shut to try to fall into my dream again. BEEP BEEP. Damn it. I pound my fist on the table by my bedside.
SLAM
F*ck that hurt! I glance over to where my alarm clock was. Instead an empty mahogany shelf.
"Looking for something?" A deep husky voice teases. I look to my doorway to see.. NATE?
I rocket my body forward and start hyperventilating. A dream in a dream? Woah. Freaky. BEEP BEEP. Mother f*cker shut up! I check my bed stand first to ensure that my alarm clock was there. Nope. Holy crap. A dream in a dream in a DREAM! This is like Inception.
"Looking for something?"
"AHHH! " I scream not daring to look. The voice came from the left side of my bed. I quickly lift my right hand and swat at the side. My palm comes in contact with a smooth surface.
"Ow! What the f*ck Aryn!" I turn precariously.
"Carson? You scared the shit out of me."
He chuckled and shook his head still rubbing his cheek.
"Sorry. " I said sheepishly.
"Well that's a morning I'm glad to not be repeating. " He joked. I laughed half-heartedly and crawled out of bed.
"Ready for your first day of school since last year?" He asked.
"Don't remind me. I really dont look forward to being an outcast, again. " For the past few weeks I've been studying like crazy to prepare for my Junior year at high school. Kinda weird I missed out on Sophomore year. I took my classes in like 4 weeks at the college by our house. It was crazy stressful with all the finals in like one day but it was worth it. Now I'll be a junior with all my old classmates. Yay. (Note sarcasm)
After brushing my hair and putting it into a side ponytail, I moped over to my closet at a slow pace. I looked at it for a brief second and searched desperately for clean clothes. I mean, I'm not a dirty person, I'm just lazy with washing machines. After facing the belly of the beast, I was wearing shorts, since it was still relatively hot, loosely flowing blouse, and a pair of green and black vans.
