“I’m sorry about all this, we shouldn’t have done thing.” I said picking up a gel pack and set it on his eye as we sat on the porch.
Cory really pulled a number that I couldn’t really understand. The fact that he shot up and punched him dead in the face that got me scared.
“Its fine,” he said, “He’s so stuck in his past, he forgets about his future.” I sighed shaking my head just thinking about it.
Cory is really in a whole nother state of mind which makes me angry. I was tired of it. Sitting there taking his asshole comments and him being rude to anyone that comes across his path, it was rude. Now he had the nerve to really punch someone in their face, I am over it.
I got up and started to make my way into the house and into our room then opened the door to see Cory sitting there with his face down literally shaking his head.
“What wrong with you Cory, you had a second chance at everything!” I said and he looked up and me and shook his head.
“You don’t get it huh?” he asked and I rolled my eyes.
“No I don’t Cory you been walking around with a stick in your ass for the past five months, I don’t read minds Cory. These past five months may have been rough but you are not doing anything better to even fix the fucking thing. You have a man out there who is your father, a woman who is pregnant with your baby, and a second chance at football but you don’t fucking care! That’s your damn problem! Opportunity is at your door, but you ain’t answering!” I yelled and he sighed.
“Yeah you right.” He said and I smiled, “I realized that I am not ready for this.” I raised my brow.
“What is this? This family shit, being a dad or something.”
“So what you saying, we not supposed to be family?”
“I’m not saying that, I just need some time to think about a bunch of things, I have so much shit on my head I need to think.” He explained and I looked at him blankly.
“You need time to think? You could think by yourself, without me like for real. I’m tired of dealing with your under the weather ass; you could sleep here by yourself and wake up by yourself. I really can’t take this anymore.” I stormed out of out of the house and looked at Shamar with tears in my eyes.
“I’ll take you home,” I said and he looked at me shocked then just got up.
We both got into the car and I stared at the door waiting on Cory to come out and apologize and after five minutes the door stayed shut. He needed time; I was going to give him time.
