Things will change.
Prologue:
Six-teen years that's how long I've know James Price, but I still don't get him. We have been friends for over ten years and our parents have lived next to each other for twenty.
I liked him since I first saw him but that never mattered until high school when it all changed.
Chapter one "Spring and time"
"Lucy I would love to go out with you I really would"
I couldn't help my self I had to ask, "if you want to go out with me then why not?" I ask my voice was clearly shaking by now but I didn't care I had to know.
"Lucy please don't, don't be upset I really do like you but I, I just want us be friends I case it didn't work out."
He could tell me all he wanted not to be upset but I broke down. The anger thick in my voice I said, "I got to go"
I was a least fourty feet away when I heard running and
"Lucy would you just give me some time please"
I wiped around "time, really James?" I ask when the anwser was clear as the blue sky above us, and then I said. "The let you down easy speech really James just forget it"
"Yes to the first part but I do need some time Lucy"
"Kay then take all the time you need" and with that I walk homed which wasn't easy considering the fact that we live right beside each other.
Yes we have had our fights about how we should not be friends and stuff but not one as bad as that one. And with that things started to change.
