Chapter two: After School

"What's so important, Jamie?" Katie asked demandingly.

"Kat, c'mon it's boy trouble, I promise, not to scare you," Jamie calmly said. Jamie calls Katie, Kat, and Katie calls Jamie, Jam.

"That's why I was scared! At least you had a reason to scare me, anyway what do ya have Jam, Spill the beans!" Kat said.

"Well, ya know how Joseph sits next to me, well I really think he likes me, we are gonna be in the same penthouse together for the investigation. I just dont know what to do!" Jamie said about to start crying.

"It'll be okay, I'll check in on ya before the investigation starts, okay?" Kat said.

"Okay, but I gotta go, we are leaving as soon as I get home, so I can't miss the bus!" Jamie said running down the hall. Jamie was now home, grabbing her bag, and her minion, Dave, her parents gave her that when she was leaving for kindergarten. Of course, at this point, Jamie did not know about her power yet. This was her first investigation, the parents of these children can't tell the child till the day of the investigation at five o'clock, eastern time. Which meant, that Jamie would know at four o'clock, because she was in her western time zone. However, since this is her first investigation, no one really knows the type of power she had inherited.

"Jamie, let's go! We're gonna be late for check in for you, if you don't come downstairs and leave!" Jamie's mother called from the bottom step.

"I'm coming, I'm getting my camera!" Jamie hollered. Ten minutes passed. Still no sign of Jamie.

"JAMIE ERIKA ANDERSON!!!!!!!" Jamie's mother called, "GET DOWN HERE NOW!!"

Jamie came down the stairs and entered the car. the whole time they were backing out of the drive way, they were arguing about being late for Jamie's check in time. In all this mess, Jamie's mother totally forgot to tell her about her gift. "Jamie, there's something that I need to tell you before we get there." Jamie's mom said about twenty minutes later.

"I know, it is about that I'm a paranormal prodigy, it's fine, I already know about this, I've known since I was twelve." Jamie blurted quickly as they both went quickly silent. They both exchanged Iblove you's and hugged each other. "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH," Jamie shouted,"MOM, HUG TIME'S OVER, NOW GET YO HANDS BACK ON THE FRICKING WEEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Okay, well we are almost there, and weren't we parked?" Jamie's mom informed.

" I don't care, and wow near death situations can really make time fly!!" Jamie said sarcastically.
