I am dedicating this story to my best friend Becca. (yes she is Becca in the story, though she is not dating Caleb lol ) She and I actually did poke fish at her dads cabin. I highly suggest if you are bored and see fish in the water to try it ;)
CHAPTER 1
Ah college how much better could it get! No more parents and out of that little rinky, dink gossipy town!! Free at last; though it’s not out of MN but I can live with that since I know go to the U of M in St. Paul. It was only my first year and classes were well under way. I liked it the second I got here. No popular cliques, no favorites and the teachers loved when I asked questions verses the looks I used to get. I was studying to get a major in music. My parents well they were not too happy with this decision. I on the other hand very strongly supported this decision. My older sister was studying in New York to become a lawyer and all my parents could talk about was how why can’t I be more like her and go and study something more interesting? Well I’m me, and if you don’t like it does it really look like I care? No! And of course there was the new friends I had made and our little dance group. My name is Azarniya. I know weird right? What kind of parents name their kid Azarniya, so I just go by Z, much simpler. I walked into my first class of the day and grabbed a seat, groaning for it looked like we were in for a boring lecture day. Fun. More kids showed up and I didn’t really pay attention to them until one showed up and handed a note to the teacher. I had never seen him before, but jeez was he hot. I saw girls all around smiling at him and one motioned over to the empty seat next to her saying he could sit there. Dang… hmm I wonder if he had a girlfriend. The teacher chose that time to clear his throat and start class. Sigh, he we go.
**LATER**
“Hey Z!!!” my best friend Becca ran up and smiling. I smiled back and kept walking to dance practice. Becca and I were roommates and we inseparable. We walked down the sidewalk to where we practice when it’s nice outside, chatting about our classes for the day.
“Did you see that new kid today? I mean I know that I barely know most people here but he was tall, and very handsome. I think his name was Alexander. He looked like he just transferred here. All the girls were just fawning over him. Not that I don’t disagree with them.” Becca said.
“Yah I saw him. He is really cute.” I said smiling.
“Hey you two over there are you coming to dance with us or not?”
We both looked up to see Kayla waving at us from grass by the fountain.
“Ok Ok hang on we’re coming!” I yelled back.
Becca and I crossed the grass to where Kayla and some of our other friends were standing. We dropped bags and started talking and running to get warmed up.
Kayla started the music and we all got into position and started dancing to one that we knew well. Some people stood by and watched and then I saw that new kid, Alexander? , standing with a couple of guys to the side watching us. I put my all into the dance and did it perfectly. I walked over to my water bottle and came up to see him standing right in front of me. I smiled and chugged some water down to control my breathing.
“Nice moves out there.” He said
“Thanks, haha I’d like to see you try to do that.” I said raising my eyebrow up.
“Haha, that sounds like a challenge. One that I personally know I will win.” He winked at me.
“O really is that so?” I know I was flirting but I was curious to see if this guy had some moves.
“Get some music. Me, you dance off now.” He yelled out so everyone heard.
I laughed. “Bring. It. On.” I poked his chest each time I said it. Becca and Kayla came over to stand behind me and two of his friends came up to him. Someone started the music. We danced like there was no tomorrow and I have to admit he was pretty good. Pretty soon everyone joined in. Boys against girls and when the song was over I saw we had a group of onlookers and they were all clapping. Alexander was standing next me. He raised an eyebrow. I raised mine and we both burst out laughing. Kayla drug me away and everyone got back to practice and Alexander trailed off with his friends still staring at me. When practice was over every girl came up and wanted to know if Alexander and I had a thing or something. I laughed and said no and that I doubted he even knew my name. I invited Kayla over to our dorm for dinner but she said that she had to go to work so Becca and I trailed back to our dorm and went off to the cafeteria to eat supper. I looked for Alexander there but didn’t see him. Becca kept up the chatter, but I was a little distracted wondering just who this Alexander boy was...
Alexander’s POV
Finally away from all the drama at home and nobody knew I was here except my family and Louis and he was here with me. No more stupid paparazzi following me around. They had no idea I was here and I was planning on keeping it that way. I was sick of them and everyone else awing over the great Isaac Alexander Germaning. Nope here I was Alexander Jeremiah Taylor. Much better anyway. It’s not that I don't like my name it’s just that I didn’t want to be the great singer Isaac Germaning anymore. His life was too hectic for me. I wanted a normal life if only for a little bit. I just hope my secret didn’t get out before I had a chance at that. I was laying out on my bed thinking about my day. Louis was out somewhere; I didn’t know where and at the moment didn’t care since I wanted to be alone with my thoughts. I wanted to know who that girl was. The one who had the guts to stand up to me and didn’t drool all over me or stutter. I just want to know her name!! She wasn’t over the top like most girls, but she was sweaty and gross in work-out clothes and I still found her beautiful. This was making me so mad!! Who was this girl that made my head spin in such way? I wonder if we had any classes together. Just then Louis walked in.
“I found out here name” He said smiling at me.
“What?” I asked. “You did?! Tell me now before my head explodes from brain overload!”
“Ok ok don’t get your panties in a twist jeez!”
“Louis!”
“Her name is Azarniya”
“Umm ok”
“Yah that’s all I know and if you don’t mind it took a lot of work to find that out and now you soooo owe me when I need help with a girl. I’m going to take a shower and then I have to go do some stuff at the studio so I will probably be back really late so don’t wait up for me.” He grabbed his stuff and walked back out.
Azarniya. What kind of name was that? Hmmm I bet she went by a nickname. I decided to go for a walk around campus the sun was setting and it was still really nice out. I grabbed my shoes and stepped outside and I ran into a girl that was in one of my classes. I don’t remember her name but she looked up at me and smiled. Mmm great another girl who was going to fawn over me. Well girl I am not interested right now.
“Hey Alex where are you headed to?” She gazed up at me smiling.
“Um, I’m going out for a walk and…” I stupidly slapped myself on the forehead. Now she was going to ask to go with me.
“Oh, so was I! Do you mind if I join you?”
No you weren’t. You were headed back into your dorm room before you saw me walking out. Stupid, stupid, stupid me.
“Umm, actually…”
Suddenly another girl sauntered up to her side. She smiled and greeted the girl, Hannah, and the said hi to me.
“Hey you know you look at lot like someone I know.” The girl was staring at me as if trying to figure something out.
“You know what he does! You look just like Isaac Germaning!!”
“Oh I do? I never noticed before, but I got to, uh, run to meet Louis so bye!”
I ran away and the girls called after me, but I just ignored them and kept running. No way! I couldn’t let my cover get blown that easily! I would have to stay away from a lot of girls. Not that I minded really except I was for sure not staying away from Azarniya. Girls constantly were trailing after me. Wanting everything from a one night stand to money to a job singing with me or even be my girlfriend. But they were all the same. I wanted to know this Azarniya because she didn’t know me as Isaac, she only knew me as, wait; did she even know me as Alexander? Well most of the girls here already knew my name. I guess word travels fast when a really cute guy comes on campus. Not to mention the little show I put on by the fountain probably didn’t help my case either.
I glanced back behind me and saw no one so I round the corner of a building so that I could hide for a bit and catch my breath. But instead I ran into something, or someone I should say and we both went tumbling down.
