Chapter 9

Z's POV

“What are we going to do?” Kayla asked. We ordered pizzas and went to the studio for supper after classes. Alex and I were sitting on the piano bench on the stage and the others had pulled out chairs and sat in a circle. The pizza was in the middle.

“Well we don't have time to order costumes in online and there are probably no good costumes left at the stores since its only 5 days till Halloween.” Louis said taking a bite of his pizza.

“I agree with Louis... Anybody have any ideas?” I asked.

Suddenly it looked like a lightbulb had went on over Becca's head.

“I know! None of us have afternoon classes on Wednesday right?” Becca asked and we all shook our heads no. “Well then, lets take a road trip.” She smiled and I could practically hear the gears grinding in her head.

“Where exactly are we going?” Caleb asked her.

“To my old ballet studio! Carlos and Alesha run the place and they are old friends of mine. I can call them and ask if they would let us borrow some costumes.”

“That sounds perfect Becca!” Kayla said and we agreed.

“Ok, I have to call my mom and ask her for the number then I will call them.” She pulled out her phone and stepped outside for some privacy. Alex went a grabbed another piece of pizza.

“Alex, see this is why I have crakced ribs! Your such a pig.” I slapped his arm jokingly.

“Ok I would tickle you for that but I know that would hurt you.” He laughed with me this time.

“Oh so your ticklish huh Z?” Louis smirked. “Good to know so that when I walk in on you and Alex sleeping again instead of sneaking around I have a plan b.” He laughed evily and my mouth dropped and Alex and Louis laughed harder.

“Don't worry Z, I won't let Louis get you. I'll keep you safe.” He kissed my hair. I smiled and laughed.

“Psh, Alex I can save her better since I can distract Louis better...” Louis looked at Kayla and she walked out of the room in the direction that Becca had gone. He stared at her, then grinned and followed her.

“Well, at least I did not have to see that PDA! You guys are all flirting and my girlfriend isn't even here!”

Both Alex and I burst out laughing. Caleb was going to walk out after Becca but then thought better of it. Becca came walking in then and he smiled.

“Um where did Kayla and Louis go?”

“We didn't go anywhere.” Louis and Kayla came back in grinning ear to ear.

Alex snorted and Caleb and I burst out laughing.

“OOOkkkk then.” Becca looked confused but then brightened up “They said we could borrow some costumes!”

“Yay!” I went up to Becca and hugged her. “We get to go to the dance!”

“Hug it out guys!” Kayla said and the boys squished us in the middle of our group hug circle.

**2 days later**

After classes were out on Wednesday we all hopped in Caleb's car and drove the 2 hour trip to Becca's house. We all kept up the constant chatter the whole way there.

“So Alex... What instruments do you play. You have to play at least one otherwise Z wouldn't like you. Music is so her thing.”

“Hey Alex doesn't need to play an instrument just so that I like him!” I objected.
