**Day of the Dance**

Becca, Kayla, and I had gone to Kayla’s dorm room to get ready for the dance. She had more makeup and room to get ready. She opened her door and we hung our costumes from her closet door and Becca took a shower since she  was styling her hair a bit differently. She was going to sweep it to the side and make it slick looking. She said it would be too frizzy if she tried to do it otherwise. I began to work on Kayla’s hair. She had taken a shower right before I came. I curled her hair slightly and wrapped it up in a bun and let her bangs hang loose. She started to apply makeup while Becca came out and I pulled her hair into a side pony tail and wrapping a strand of hair around the pony tail to hide it and she wore beady dangly earrings and I put gems on her forehead and added some bright make up colors to her hair. Her costume was bright reds, oranges and yellows. She wore a bright flower in her hair to match. The shirt rode up and showed her belly button ring which she had just gotten done at the beginning of the school year.

“It goes so perfectly with my costume!” Becca exclaimed. Kayla and I laughed and agreed. They both then turned to me and plopped me down in a chair and began pulling, twisting and curling my hair and they pinned it all back with little clips. I slipped in some cute earrings and they applied my makeup.

“Ok Kayla you need your tiara.” Becca asked looking around for it. “Um, where is it?”

“It’s right…” She turned around and saw that amidst all the hair and makeup products that it wasn’t there. “It’s missing!” We turned the room upside down looking for it. Becca finally found it under the bed, how it got there no one knows.

“Whew! It would have been bad if I couldn’t find this!” We all laughed and I pulled on my costume. Kayla had put hers on which was a light blue with hues of pink and such at the bottom. I slipped on mine and the girls pretended to wolf whistle.

“Oh la la . Alex is going to be staring at you the whole night girly!” Becca laughed. I looked at myself in the mirror. I did look pretty freaking’ awesome.

Alex’s POV

I shook out my wet hair as I stumbled out of the shower and dried myself off. I slipped on the white ruffly button up shirt that went on underneath my suit jacket and slipped on the white pants that stopped just below the knee, like baseball pants. Louis came in the door and smiled at my shirt.

“At least I don’t have much ruffles!” He sniggered.

“Hey I’m not the one who had to find white pants to go with my costume to replace the tights.” I smirked at his face and he stormed to the bathroom to take a shower. He was probably just at the gym trying to keep his figure for Kayla. Louis had a hard time when it came to sweets. I pulled on the black socks and soft leather boots that went with my costume and looked at myself in the mirror. I had a longer brown hair that curled at the ends in a way that all girls seemed to love and bright blue eyes. I was like the opposite of Z who had blonde hair and brown eyes. Don’t start on any blonde jokes though, she was very smart. I ran my hands through my hair, smiling at the memory of her doing that the day of our first date. Louis came back out in a pair of boxers and pulled his costume out of the closet. And pulled on the light blue suit with white pants. I pulled on my suit jacket and buttoned up. Thinking of this now I realized that we should have just gone as swimsuit models.... I could have at least showed off my muscles! This outfit covered them all up. Louis came up to me and looked at us in the mirror.

“I think you got a way better deal man!” He punched my shoulder lightly. “But I wouldn’t trade Kayla for the world.”

I smiled “I wouldn’t have it any other way with Z right now either.” Louis grabbed his crown and twirled it around his fingers. He suddenly saw something and picked it up and wacked me on the leg with it.
