2~If You Had To Choose

(Alexander's POV)

We walked into the large building and immediately were pulled into a hug, given to us by none other than, Eliza.

"I missed you guys so much!" Eliza cooed

"We missed you too Liza'!" John said

"Great, let me show you the kids" Eliza offered

We gladly agreed.

"These are the kids" Eliza said leading us to a room filled with kids everywhere, they we're all involved with an activity, whether it be playing dolls, coloring, or playing video games. "You can just go and look around... I need to go check on some other kids"

"Okay" John and I said in unsion

We walked around the large room for about three minutes when a little boy with curly hair and lots of freckles that looked around five years old ran up to us.

"Hello!" The boy said cheerfully

"Hi" I said shaking his small, delicate hand.

"I'm Philip!" He said still smiling

Wow, this kid is adorable...

"I'm Alexander" I told him

By this time John and I were sitting at a table with Philip...

"Can I ask you a question?" Philip asked John

"Of course!" john agreed happily

"Do you have a girlfriend?" Philip asked

John shot me a glance, I chuckled lightly to myself.

"No, I don't" John replied chuckling

"Why?" Philip questioned

"Because, I'm gay" John muttered under his breath. This remark made me burst out laughing. I looked stupid.

"What?" Philip asked giggling

"Nothing, I have a boyfriend— I mean husband" John said

"You can do that!?" Philip asked, amazed

"Yeah, if you want to" I replied, taking Johns hand in mine.

"That's amazing!" Philip shouted

"Yeah" I said staring into Johns eyes "it really is"

"Hey Philip?" John said

"Yeah?" Philip asked

"You can go on and play for a bit longer, we'll be right back" John explained

"Alright" Philip agreed

"I think we found the one" John whispered in my ear once Philip walked away

I nodded in agreement

"Everything okay?" Eliza asked walking up to us

"Yeah" I replied

"Did you find anyone?" Eliza asked  smiling hopefully

"Yeah, his name is Philip!" John repied brightly

"Yay" Eliza cheered "he's such a sweetheart!"

He nodded in agreement

"I'll go get the paperwork" Eliza said jogging away.

John and I smiled at each other and made our way back to the play room.

*Tiny time skip*

"Would you like to come home with us?" I asked Philip

"Wait... Really!?" Philip asked, achocked and excited

"Yeah" John laughed

"Oh my goodness yes!" Philip shouted wrapping his arms around our necks.

Awe...

I carried Philip on my hip out to the lobby, John and I had already filled out the paperwork, we just had to check him out and get his stuff.

After this process was done, we walked out all holding hands, with our beautiful son into the middle...

He was truly beautiful... When he smiles, I fall apart. Look at my son! Pride is not the word I'm looking for, there is so much more inside me now.
