(Alexander's POV)

John was in South Carolina

What!?

I told the rest of the group and they were angry as hell.

So was I

Philip was currently napping and I was currently purchasing a plane ticket.

Yes, I was going to South Carolina. I need to find John, what was he doing anyway???

Was he visiting his family?

If so, why wouldn't he tell me?

Why would he just leave in the middle of the night?

Doesn't he love me?

-

"Philip, it's time to go" I said, softly shaking his small body.

He reluctantly got out of bed and walked over to his suitcase that we bought earlier this week.

I already packed my bag so I helped him pack his. We packed three outfits, his tablet, a small blanket and pillow, and a stuffed lion I gave to him.

We ate some cereal and I carried the luggage out to the car. I brought Philip to he car and buckled him into his car seat.

-

When we arrived at the airport, I payed the parking fee, parked the car, and started to unload. Philip fell asleep on the drive here so I woke him up.

He was obviously still tired but he wheeled his suitcase behind him and walked next to me while holding my hand.

When we entered the building we were met with a load of people which triggered major anxiety. Ugh...

I decided to sit at the sitting area closest to the restrooms. Philip used the bathroom, as did I, and we went back to sit. Philip looked around the extremely large room and pointed to a vending machine.

"Can I get something papa?" He asked I nodded and stood up with him. I bought him a bag of chips and an apple juice.

-

We boarded the plane, and found our seats. I put Philips bag in the overhead and my bag was checked in.

The plane was about to take off and Philip was gripping my hand tightly.

"It's going to be alright, baby" I told him soothingly. He nodded and gulped. I honestly was a little scared too. I didn't like planes, and John was usually there to comfort me. But I wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for John.

Just as the plane was taking off I got a text from Peggy.

Peggy: I'll be there tomorrow morning, stay safe. I'll see you soon.

I quickly replied

Me: Okay, thanks Peggy

I smiled at the sight of Philip already asleep on my shoulder. He really was tired.

I'm coming John,
it won't be long now...
