Chapter 3 (Late night calls and memories)

JeongHan's point of view.

I should get his phone number if I love to talk to him right? It's really great to talk to him this way, I only got to watch him before. I guess being a fallen angel isn't that bad. I should really get his number.

"SeungCheol-ah, can I get your number?" I asked shyly, I guess he knows I like to talk to him because of that wide grin of him. He took out his phone and I did too, "Yeah sure." He entered his number on my phone and I did the same to his phone, "I should get in, you too, good night." He said... he rushed inside with Hanie on his left hand and his phone in his right hand grinning wide. What's up with him? Earlier he spaced out a lot, and now he looks so happy? Is my company that enjoyable? That's kinda flattering.

"Noona, I'm home." Well, noona is not my real sister, we met few years ago, when I was still an angel and she was still a grim reaper, she did something wrong in her company that's why they made her live her life again to stop her from causing problems. "JeongHan, how's school?" it's really great to have her around, she's like a real sister, "JeongHan's home?" Well, we have a mom, she was living alone in her house back in Jeju and while she was moving here in Seoul she found us in streets and said she's no ordinary person, she's a real rich woman, she took care of us when she saw us, she's also a fallen angel, she loved the man she guarded for years, he loved her back but his love never lasted. "Eommanim!" I rushed to the kitchen to hug her, even tho it's not that long we've been a family, it feels like years. "My baby~ how's school?" She asked sweetly, "Well it's great." I answered cheerfully, "Eat the meal in the dining room, I'm washing the dishes." She shouldn't wash the dishes, I let out a sigh and said "I'll do it, I'll eat later." She seems bothered for what I said, "No JeongHan, eat first." No I will not, you're not supposed to do this stuff, "Where's JoYoung noona?" She's always out, meeting her boyfriend instead of helping eomma, she's not worthy of monthly salary, "She's out again." "I'll do the dishes eomma, just take a rest and fire Young noona." I don't want the woman who took us in to look tired because of us, "Youngie didn't do anything wrong, I just wanted to do the dishes." I sigh again and pushed her gently outside the kitchen and lead her to the living room, I handed her the remote, "Here, watch your favorite drama instead, I'll eat and wash the dishes, okay?" She nods in agreement, It feels like we're really blood related.

I finished washing the dishes and the tv is off, I checked eomma in her room and found her sleeping soundly. I planned of changing my clothes to more comfortable ones, just right after I finished changing into my sweats I heard the door clicked downstairs so I rushed, "Oh! JeongHan, you startled me!" She yelled, "Ah, JoYoung noona, shouldn't you at home few hours ago? Where did you go?" It's time for me to confront her, "I went out with friends." "You went out with them last week. Did you missed each other that much?" She seems pissed at me, she crumpled her hands into fist and I crossed my arms, "JeongHan, do you like me?" So I created misunderstanding for suing an older woman, and her name is weird, it's a guy's name, but she's quite pretty, I just have someone who owns my heart right now. "No, of course not." This will be long, "I think you do." She said with her hands on her waist, "You look like an old woman who owns a vegetable shop who just got cheated on delivery price." She walk up to me slowly, and seductively but little did she know, that doesn't works on me, "JeongHan, don't be such a hard to get." She smells like alcohol, disgusting, "I guess your boyfriend broke up with you so you're hitting on me?" She laughed loudly, I can see her sadness, "Yes, and I think you looks really handsome tonight." No, ew, "You should go to sleep." I walk pass her, but she suddenly grab my shoulder, "JeongHan, you better date the right person or you'll end up being like me." "You better do you work right nonna or tonight is your last sleep in this house." She grabbed my wrist and pulled me close to her, this woman is stronger than she looks, my phone rang suddenly and she let go of me due to shock, thank you to whoever you are who's calling me at 10:47 pm.

Cheol-ah? I answed my phone quickly, to avoid noona's drunk personality, I sat in the couch comfortably.

"JeongHan-ah, sorry for calling, *chuckles* I can't sleep." His voice is husky, "No, that's alright,  can't sleep too." I can feel him smiling in the other line, "Do you want to eat ice cream?" This hour? "Right now?" "Yeah, let's take Hanie with us, he's not asleep either, it's okay to sleep late tonight, it's Saturday tomorrow." We have a calendar, "I know dummy, I will come to your house." I grin widely at the thought he likes being withe, "No, I will come to your house, I'll be a gentleman." "It's not like it's far you know." "Yeah but I insist." "Okay, okay... " he chuckles again, it's like music to my ears. "I'll be right there in a minute." I stand up to grab my slip ons, I slid one shoe and slid another, "JeongHan, where are you going at this hour?" Ugh, this noona is annoying, first grabbing my shoulder and wrist and now not minding her own business, "You can take your nose now, they've been in my business in a while, I can see you listening to my phone call JoYoung." I rushed outside to find the older boy smiling at me and his cat on his arms. "Why do you want ice cream at this hour?" I asked him, and took the cat from him, I really like this cat, he have a silver fur which like my silver hair but he doesn't really looks like me, because he have these big eyes, like SeungCheol, and it's like, he's our child. "It's a lame excuse I know, I just want to see you."...
S-see me? "Huh?"
"Nothing let's go."
On our way to the nearest convenience store, Hoshi, Minghao, Jun, Dino, Mingyu and Hansol popped out of nowhere, "Yah! You guys startled me!" SeungCheol shouted, they all laughed at their hyung's reaction, "Why are you two walking in these streets at this hour?" Jun asked, "We wanted ice cream." SeungCheol answered them, "Why is Hanie with you?" The maknae asked, "He wants ice cream too." I answered.
SeungCheol decided to treat the kids too, Dino and I played with Hanie while they listen to mixtapes and stuff, and this reminds me of something...

I was staring at them having fun at this convenience store, what does it feels like to be alive, SeungCheol laughed at Jun's joke and the maknaes played with each other, Jihoon is busy with his pen, composing a song with SeungKwan, Dokyeom and JiSoo helping him, this convenience store held thier best memories, the time JiHoon's song catched the eye of his idol, the time MinGyu got rejected, the time Hoshi got the part time job as a choreographer, happy or sad times, these boys have each other.

And it feels nice to finally be one of them.
