chapter 14

Seungcheol's pov

The break is finally over, we handed our assignments to our homeroom teacher, then he started to babble about his vacation, and it's kinda boring.

"Jeonghannie~" I called the boy beside me, he stopped reading the book he borrowed from Wonwoo the other day, speaking of Wonwoo, he and Mingyu got closer together, lile CLOSER, Mingyu always stays in Wonwoo's every weekend, I know they're best friends but there's something going on.

"Yeah?" He said, putting the book down.

"What if I die, what will you do?" I asked so suddenly that I got stunned at my own words too, he looked at me with his eyebrows frowned, and hit me in the arm.

"Ow!" I cried. He looked at me again but this time with tears in his eyes, he started to sob. What's so cryable with my question?

"Why would you ask such thing?" He ask while wiping his tears. His tears reflects the light, it made his face mesmerizing.

"I just wanted to make sure you do love me."

"What a really dumb reason, really." He said, getting a little bit mad.

"So what's your answer?" I piss him off more. But instead of pissing him off I got a calm answer from him.

"I will probably ask God to either bring you back or take me." He looked at me with a serious face, that made me a little bit dizzy...

Wait...

My vision became blurred, my head hurts so much, everything is turning... I feel sick...

The last thing I know is that Jeonghan started yelling my name, the teacher dialed numbers on his phone, then I woke up with white ceiling above me. The smell of rubbing alcohol and medicine filled my nose. I blink couple of times and a figure beside me appeared, a boy with chin-length hair sleeping with his school uniform on. I glanced at the clock, it's 10:48 pm. I'm wearing a hospital gown, a dextrose is inserted in my hand, a tray of medicine beside me, what happened?
I heard a knock on the door, I was about to get up but Jeonghan woke up and opened the door, he didn't even looked at me. A guy with a lab coat entered the room with... my mother? I pretend to be asleep.

"What really happened?" I heard Jeonghan said.

"He have no symptoms of anything, he just collapsed, it can be because of over fatigue--"

"But he never over work his body." I heard Jeonghan again.

"That's it, we don't know what's happening, the weather can't be the cause it's still a bit chilly outside, stress, we thought about that but it seems like him and your friends just got back from a vacation, but we'll try to do some test again." I heard the doctor said, then the door closing.

I opened my eyes a little to see Jeonghan sitting beside me, maybe mom went with the doctor to pay the bills. I opened my eyes slowly, trying my best to act.

"Your awake." Is the only thing he managed to say.

"Yeah, what happened?" I asked, Jeonghan took a deep breath then started to tell the story how I collapsed while talking to him.

"So we rushed you here." He finished talking.

"I hate this place." Jeonghan looked at me with an unusual facial expression.

"Why?" He asked, his voice cracking. He must me tired.

"I just hate it." He just nod at me, his eyelid drops but he's still fighting it.

"You should go to sleep." I told him, he nod again and rest his head on the hospital bed, it's uncomfortable. I shift my position so be can fit in the bed, I tapped his shoulder.
He lift his face to meet my eyes, I smiled at him and said,

"That must be uncomfortable, lay here beside me." He returned me the smile I gave him and laud down in my arms, I wrapped my arms around him like I usually do.

"This is so comfortable." He mumble in my chest. Then suddenly I got this unusual feeling, I'm a little depressed, I should be happy, I know, but I'm sad. I don't know why.

He sensed the sudden tension in my body, he looked up at me, with his eyes reflecting the light coming from the florescent light.

"What's up?" He asked worriedly.

"Nothing, it's just..."

"What?"

"You're just so beautiful." He gave a a really sweet smile with a peck on my left cheek that made me smile even sweeter.

"I know that, thanks." He added the hide his face on my chest once again.
