AirRazor stood at the computers. No one was awake other than him. Ratchet walked into the main room grumbling on about sparks being stupid. When Ratchet looked up, he gave AirRazor a small smile. AirRazor, in return, smiled back and stepped away from the computers for Ratchet.
AirRazor looked over at Ratchet's faceplate and noticed a light shade of blue. Was Ratchet blushing? A signal appeared on the screen and AirRazor immediately recognized it as Decepticon activity.
"I'll go. I might not have any field experience but I can still scout the area. I know how to fight, too.", AirRazor said, Ratchet looked at him with worry.
"I can't let you go alone. I'll go with you. Bumblebee and Optimus will be up soon.", Ratchet said, "Let's go."
AirRazor nodded and followed Ratchet through the bridge with his blasters out. When they reached the other side, they spotted vehicons digging in a rock wall.
"What are we going to do?", AirRazor asked.
"I am going to fight off the vehicons. You need to grab that relic. We'll analyze the relic when we get back to base.", Ratchet said, AirRazor nodded, "On my count. 3!"
AirRazor and Ratchet started attacking the vehicons. When Ratchet gave the okay, AirRazor went after the relic. He grabbed the canister and called for a bridge. Ratchet yelled out of pain. The bridge opened up and AirRazor helped Ratchet through.
The two mechs made it to the other side and Optimus took Ratchet to the medbay to get patched up. AirRazor turned the bridge off just as a guest came through. The vehicon jumped up onto AirRazor's back. In turn, AirRazor backed up into a wall, the vehicon lost it's grip and fell.
"What was your mission?", AirRazor asked.
"To terminate Ratchet.", the vehicon spat as Ashley and Bumblebee walked in.
"That's not going to happen. Tell Megatron he's not laying a servo on my mate.", AirRazor growled and opened the bridge once again.
He threw the vehicon through and closed the bridge immediately after. Bumblebee walked up to AirRazor and set a servo on his shoulder plating. AirRazor jumped but calmed down once he seen who was behind him. His optics widen when he remembers about Ratchet and heads to the medbay.
When he entered, AirRazor didn't get what he'd hoped for. Optimus leaned against the wall as he watched AirRazor approach Ratchet. The younger mech looked over the wounds and set a shaky servo on the older mech's cheek plating. Ratchet didn't move or smile. He was out cold. AirRazor scanned Ratchet with his optics and was relieved to find out the older mech was only unconscious.
Nighttime came and AirRazor hadn't moved from his spot beside the berth. Bumblebee walked into the medbay and stood beside AirRazor.
"You need to go recharge. Ratchet will be here in the morning.", Bumblebee urged.
"I'm not leaving him. I want to be here when he wakes up.", AirRazor said, not once looking away from Ratchet, "I love him too much to just leave him alone."
Bumblebee sighed knowing how AirRazor was and left the medbay to recharge in his berth. Ratchet onlined his optics, having listened to the whole conversation between the two mechs, and looked over at AirRazor who had fallen into recharge.
Ratchet caressed AirRazor's cheek plating causing him to online his optics. When AirRazor seen Ratchet awake, the young mech hugged him immediately.
"Nice to see you too, AirRazor.", Ratchet chuckled.
AirRazor responded with a gentle kiss that Ratchet gladly returned.
"I love you, Ratchet.", AirRazor said when he pulled back.
"I love you as well, Rafael.", Ratchet smiled and the two recharged side by side on the berth.
