The only sound in the kitchen was the rush of the water and the clanking of the dishes.

Dean glanced over at Roy who was in a trance-like state, rubbing a metal tray with a sponge and staring at the plain grey wall in front of them.

They had been washing for about an hour and a half and there were only about 10 dishes left to wash. Thankfully the last meal had been lunch and it had been a very light meal. The work load had been lifted tremendously.

But still...Roy looked like he was having the worst day of his life. His eyebrows were turned down and his mouth was in a pout.

"Hey...listen..." Dean turned off his water and turned to face Roy. "You can go back to the dorm...I'll just do the rest."

Roy sighed loudly, but ignored Dean's offer and continued to scrub.

"Why get into a fight in the first place if you're just gonna puss out and apologize?" Roy finally said. He slammed the plate down and turned his water off, a large puddle had dripped onto the ground by his feet.

Dean scrunched his eyebrows together. "I'm not apologizing...I just..." he swallowed. What was he doing? Roy had just looked so tired and annoyed, Dean felt like it was somehow his fault they were stuck like this. "Actually yeah, I am apologizing."

He took a step closer to Roy and glared at him. "I don't know what the hell I did to you, but I'd really appreciate it if you would stop treating me like shit. So I'm apologizing in case I did something." Dean cocked his head, waiting for a response.

Roy kept his head high but glanced around nervously. "Whatever, let's just finish this quickly so we can get out of here before dinner."

"You didn't answer me!" Dean exclaimed, not backing down. "What did I do!? Tell me!" He took another step forward.

Roy took a step back, startled. "I don't know, let's just finish this-" As Dean took another step forward his foot landed in the puddle of water around Roy and slipped, falling backwards.

"AHH!!!" Dean yelled and closed his eyes, preparing for the impact on the ground. He felt as Roy's fingers brushed against his arm as he tried to grab ahold, but failed.

Dean's head hit the floor with an awful thud and his vision blurred for a second.

"Dean!" Roy's voice sounded like it was underwater or in another room. "Dean are you alright?" He grabbed Dean and began to shake him.

"Ahhh...my...head..." Dean moaned and rubbed the back of his head where he hit the floor.

"Fuck..." Roy mumbled under his breath as his helped Dean sit up. "You go back to the dorm...that doesn't look good..." his fingers brushed the back of Dean's head where a large lump was already forming.

"That's not fair we were supposed to finish it together-" Dean started stand up but his head began to pound and he quickly sat back down. "Damn...my head..."

"I'll take you to Dr. Bohr-" Roy started, but Dean cut him off.

"Dr. Bohr isn't here...Mr. Mackenzie is his temp replacement...if he sees this he might get the wrong idea..." Dean tried to focus his eyes on Roy's face but his head was pounding too hard.

Roy nodded, understanding. "I'll help you to the dorm, can you walk?"

Roy grabbed Dean's arm and pulled him to his feet.

"I'll be fine-" Dean stumbled forward and Roy grabbed him by his shoulders.

"...get on my back." Roy said quietly.

"W-what?"

"Shut up! Just get on!" Roy lowered himself to one knee and looked behind his shoulder at Dean, waiting.

Dean gulped and slipped his legs between Roy's arms and leaned forward, his arms around Roy's neck.

Roy grunted as his stood up. "If anyone sees us in the hallways I'm going to kill myself." He murmured and began toward the metal kitchen door.
