Chapter 11 - Joining Forces

Previous chapter - Ragini slaps Sanskar while Rishi, Laksh and Abhi look on in shock.

Now -

"How dare you frame my sister? How dare you trap her? And how did you make her say all those things in front of the media!?" Ragini screamed in anger. However, Sanskar didn't look up.

"Ragu wait. We can explain-"

Ragini turned angrily to Abhi "You mean to say you all knew of it? How could you!? Rishi, even you?"

"Ragini, its not like that. We didn't know about it until Sanskar told us. And trust me Ragini, we were very angry at him. Laksh and Abhi even went and started beating him." Rishi tried to explain "However, Sanskar didn't fight back. So, we decided to listen to his side of the story."

"He's the one guilty. There is no reason we should listen to him!"

Rishi put a hand on Ragini's shoulder and made her look into his eyes "Ragini, what we always see with our eyes isn't always what it looks like. We all perceive differently and according to our personal relations with the person guilty. Like Swara for example" on seeing Ragini's confused look he added "The entire media showed her confessing that she did all that. We even saw it with our own eyes. But do you believe it?"

"Of course not! Swara wouldn't do such a thing."

"Exactly Ragini. You don't believe Swara would do that even after seeing it as she is your sister. However, you aren't willing to listen to Sanskar because he is a stranger. Is that fair Ragini?"

Ragini didn't want to admit it, but she knew Rishi was right. She wasn't being fair to Sanskar. She should at least hear his side of the story before judging him.

She turned to Sanskar "I'll give you one chance to explain everything. Start explaining."

After sometime...

"So you mean to say that the receptionist, in order to take revenge on you, clicked the picture when you were arguing and that Swara herself took the blame, so that your father's reputation isn't ruined?" asked Ragini, to which Sanskar nodded.

Ragini sighed "Typical Swara. Always trying to save others. I knew this habit of hers will get her into trouble!"

"Swara is an amazing person Ragu. And as for the media, they just need another new piece of news and they will easily forget about Swara. That's how the media works."

Laksh's phone rang.

"Hello?"

(Laksh beta, where are you?)

"I'm at the orphanage, Maa"

(Then you must come home quickly. Kavya is here. She's come after two years of studying abroad. She said that she met you in the morning. Why didn't you tell me that she was back?)

'Because I hate her' thought Laksh, with spite.

"Um...I guess it slipped my mind Maa."
