The cafe door jingled as Laksh entered the cafe. His face revealed how nervous he felt. As he looked around the crowded cafe, he spotted Ayaan holding two sodas and bringing it over. "Oi! Ayaan. Man,over here!" Laksh walked towards him excusing the people he hit on his way. "Thanks!" he took one of the cokes and drank it whole.

"Um...that was for Kavya."

Laksh sighed in contentment as the drink helped to somewhat calm his nerves. He snickered at Ayaan. "Since when did you become a personal waiter for that brown haired menace?"

Ayaan rolled his eyes. "I've kept her away from mother while she talked to Ragini. You should thank me instead of being ungrateful." he spoke with a glare. "By the way, what are you doing here? I thought mother told you strictly not to come here today."

"She's the one who called me and told me to come right away. Ooo I can feel all the hairs on my skin stand up just thinking about what she wants to discuss with me. Do you think she dislikes Ragini?"

"Well, at first mother seemed to despise her."

"What!? Oh no! Oh no, no, no! Thi-"

"Oh hush! Let me finish." Ayaan opened his own coke and swung an arm around his brother's shoulders. "First she didn't like any of the sisters for the matter. That Kavya made sure to tell all the lies she could about the girls."

"Ooo I'll kill her!" Laksh broke free and tried to go the other way. However, Ayaan caught him with his quick reflexes. "Dude, you're younger to me and yet got more muscle."

Ayaan chuckled. "Me and Arjun are the brawns in the family. Anyways, my point is that Kavya's plan flopped. Abhi's Dadi found us and explained the truth to Maa. Then, your Ragini spilled coffee over Maa."

Laksh's eyes widened in horror. "Then I'm sure she'll reject Ragini now. Oh I'm certain to have a life of Devdas now. Oh the pain and sorrow!"

"Quit being dramatic! In fact, that incident helped for Maa to know the girls better."

"Eh?" uttered a voice from nearby, making them look up from their conversation.

Laksh felt like crying seeing her. "Ragu...Ragu, I fear I'll be taken away from you."

"What? Is this some joke of yours? And why haven't you answered any of my calls today? Neither did you answer Sanky's. I thought he was your brother-like-buddy!"
