Smiles, cheers and laughter - colorful bubbles floating in the air.
The best days of my life.
In our spare time, we had each other -
Absence does make the heart grow fonder.
That urge becomes a reversal when the one you're spending the rest of your life with,
Becomes lifeless and the more you're apart,
The deeper the wounds go.
Life turns upside-down the moment you turn cold-sober.
Realization hits you like an atomic bomb - the effects scar you.
The glow of their skin fading into the dull-grey soil,
Only to enrich it with a crimson stain.
Eyes wide, trying to captivate and differentiate illusions and reality.
Unsettling.
The feeling of dread wraps around your head,
Locking you, straining your brain,
Like a caged bird.
