"You have a daughter?!" Mariana yells at Lena as I just sit there speechless on the couch with my file in my hand. The file that states that my birth mother's name is Lena Adams, the woman whose house I slept at last night.

"Love, calm down. Mama had a reason for giving the baby up." Step explains.

"Babies." Lena sighs.

"Excuse me?" I raise an eyebrow and glare at her.

"I had twins." Lena says. "I'm willing to explain if you'd let me."

"I don't want to see you ever again. I hate you." I say through gritted teeth before storming upstairs.

I grab my suitcases and zip them up. "You don't have to leave." Mariana says.

"Yes I do. I have to go find my twin."

"Mama has some serious explaining to do, but that doesn't mean you should just leave."

"This doesn't concern you. You're the twin she wanted and I am not. If you'll excuse me, I have to call my lawyer and get back to Florida."

"That's not true. I'm sure mama loves you just as much as me and Jesus."

I shake my head at her and head downstairs with my stuff. "Where are you going?" Lena demands.

"Away from you. I can't stay here. I can't trust you."

"I know you're upset, but we are your foster parents until this thing gets sorted out and you can't just leave." Stef tells me.

"Oh yeah? Watch me." I open the door and try to storm out, but something or someone blocks me.

"Umm..ow."

I look up and see a girl just a bit taller than me with pale skin and brown hair. "Sorry, I was just leaving." I apologize.

"Mama, who is this?" A different girl asks as she walks behind the girl I ran into. The two of them look like twins.

"Callie, meet our new sister." Mariana says. "Mama had twins she didn't tell us about."

"Wait, you're Callie?" I ask as I point at the girl directly in front of me.

"No, I'm Callie's sister. I'm Sophia."

"Oh."

"I'm Callie." The girl behind Sophia says.

"And you guys aren't twins?" I raise an eyebrow.

"No, but she is." Mariana says as she points to me.

"Mama had twins?" Callie asks as she finally walks inside the house.

"I should be going." Sophia says. "Bye Cal."

"I should be going to." I huff as I continue my walk outside.

"Sarai, get inside the house please. If you leave we will have to call social services and they might put you in a group home. I don't have that for you." Stef says.

"Then find me another home for the night. I don't want to stay here with you." I say on the verge of tears.

"She can stay with me tonight." Sophia says.

"Excuse me?" Stef raises an eyebrow and crosses her arms. "Did you even ask your parents?"

"Actually my parents aren't even home. They are in Tampa and I have the house to myself." Sophia explains.

"Soph." Callie says as she walks out of the house. "You need to call dad and see if he's okay with it. Maybe I should come back over?"

"I really don't have a problem with this and the driver is waiting on me." Sophia sighs.

"Let her go." Lena says. "Just don't leave without telling us or we will call the police."

I roll my eyes and head to Sophia car with her. She opens the door for me and I shove my bags inside before hopping in. She hops in next to me and tells the driver to take her home.

"Thank you." I smile at her.

"It's fine. I need some company anyway since Callie couldn't over another night." She smiles. I just nod my head and hope I didn't make a mistake. This girl could be crazy and I have no idea who she is.

Sophia's house is huge. Actually it's not even a house, it's a mansion. She let me stay in a room by myself and it has its own bathroom. It reminds me of my house back home in Florida.

After I take a long, much needed shower I go downstairs and find Sophia sitting on the couch watching some show. "Are you hungry? Can I get you anything?" She asks.

"No, thank you." I sit down on the couch and sigh. This place reminds me too much of my parents.

"Are you okay?" She asks.

"This all just reminds me of home."

"How did you end up with Stef and Lena?" She wonders.

"My birthday gift from my parents was a trip to San Diego. They died in a car accident once we got here and I met Jesus at the hospital. Long story short I was at their house when my lawyer flew in and brought me my adoption file. Apparently Lena is my mom and I have a twin I've never met."

"Oh my God. I'm sorry I asked." She wipes the tears falling from my eyes and wraps her arms around me. "It'll get better. Your parents will always be near you."

"I really don't want to talk about them again." I sigh.

"It's fine."

I pull away from the hug and stare at her. She had tears falling from her eyes as well. "I'm sorry. I'm just so sensitive."

"It's okay. I hate being the only one in tears." I laugh. "Tell me about your parents."

"Well Callie and I have the same dad, but we didn't know until a few years ago. I thought I was an only child for the longest, but I like having her around. My mom and dad are still married and they are currently in Tampa trying to find out what happened to their friend's daughter."

"What do you mean?"

"Their friends died and the police won't tell them what happened to their daughter." She explains.

"What's your dad's name?" I ask.

"Robert Quinn."

"That's my mom's friend. They went to high school together. He must be looking for me." The thought of someone actually caring about made me happy. Mom and dad didn't leave me alone.

"I'll call them right now." She says as she pulls out her phone.
