You couldn't help but feel in ecstasy after what had transpired between you and Spencer. You laid on the bed beside him - he had on boxer briefs, and you, just a bra and lacy underwear. You rested your head on his chest, relaxing and enjoying each other's company. Spencer still didn't feel completely recovered from last night, but you had predicted as much.

After a while in that position, Spencer began to drift in and out of sleep. You decided to get up and clean the kitchen. It didn't take long, and you traipsed around the apartment tidying up for a while before becoming bored. Longing for an iced coffee, you left a handwritten note for Spencer on the bed, slipped on some clothes, and grabbed your laptop and cellphone. Before heading out of the door, you realized that you felt something was missing. Still wary from all that had happened, you retrieved your gun, slipped it into your ankle holster, and tucked your badge into your bag.

Satisfied with the additions, you quietly snuck out of the door. You found a coffee shop only a few blocks from Spencer's apartment and were content sipping on the cool drink while browsing through emails and news articles.

A call came through when you were finishing up your coffee. You answered — "Agent (Y/L/N)."

"Hello, Agent (Y/L/N). This is Margaret Swan, Assistant Director of the Violent Crimes Division. I wanted to congratulate you on the promotion to Supervisory Special Agent."

"Oh, wow, hello Mrs. Swan! Thank you so much. I'm very excited about it."

"And you should be! In fact, we have recently gotten numerous tips about a prolific online predatory serial killer. We need you to come in for briefing tomorrow before bringing the case to the rest of your team. I realize that it will be your first day back, but it's essential that we jump directly into this."

"Yes ma'am, I completely understand. What time should I report to Headquarters tomorrow?"

"9 AM sharp. I will be personally leading the conference. I look forward to seeing you, Agent."

"Likewise. Thank you for the congratulations — I will see you tomorrow."

The line clicked off. Almost immediately after, your phone lit up again - This time, it was Spencer.

"(Y/F/N)? Where are you?" Spencer sounded groggy and a bit disoriented.

"Hi Spencer... I left you a note. Did you not see it?" You heard a bit of shuffling on the other end of the line, and then a faint "Ohh..." Coming from Spencer.

You giggled; For some reason it was endearing to you that he thought of you right after waking up.

"Want me to bring you a coffee?"

"Hmmm...Yes please. Extra sugar?" He queried you.

"Of course love. I'll see you in a bit."

You ordered and collected the coffee for Spencer, dumping extra sugar in despite your firm beliefs on how coffee should be drank.

Upon arriving back to the apartment, you found Spencer on the couch reading. He stood up when you walked in, and took your breath away when he walked straight over and kissed you.

"(Y/N), I want you to get to know my friends."

Out of breath, you agreed wordlessly with a nod of your head and a wide smile. "Okay...When?

"Um...tonight?"

You raised your eyebrows in shock and waited for Spencer to elaborate a bit further.

"Rossi, er... David, one of the Agents in the BAU, is throwing a dinner party and um...encouraged us to bring our... Significant others...?"

Your eyebrows remained raised; Spencer continued to ramble on.
